iTunes Japan recommendations

I was thinking about getting a prepaid card for iTunes Japan. They don't seem to have a lot of the bands I have heard of before, at least not the visual kei ones. So, anybody have any J-bands they like on iTunes Japan? I really like rock, I like some of Go!Go!7188's stuff, Ukifune to be precise. I was sad to see they didn't have any of Plastic Tree's older stuff. Though I would really be happy with anything ^-^;

Thank you very much for replying! straightener,nicotine and ellegarden were the only ones they seemed to have. They didn't really strike me or leave a lasting impression. I guess one thing I really liked about Ukifune was that it was like nothing I had ever heard before, it felt really refreshing.

hmm, those were probably the only ones that worked because those were the only ones that spell their name in romaji. Try:

unfortunately I haven't heard of the bands you were mentioning, so I am kind of shooting in the dark.

Try GaGaaLing if you can find them on Japan Itunes, UVERWorld, AnCafe, Alice Nine, Miyavi, X-Japan, Nightmare, Luna Sea, Ketchup Mania, L'arc~en~ciel, HYDE's newer album....are some rocky ones. Nakashima Mika has some great j-rock Glamorous Sky is a good pop/rock song. I also love the girl-band 80 Pan!

I wish I had seen this thread sooner. I'm sure you've probably purchased your music by now!

Look for:

Nightmare (in romaji:
Shonen Knife (in romaji: 少年ナイフ)
Asian Kung Fu Generation (in romaji: アジアン・カンフー・ジェネレーション)
High and Mighty Color (in romaji: ハイ・アンド・マイティ・カラー)
FLOW (not in romaji)
Princess Princess (in romaji: プリンセス・プリンセス)

These are all rock bands, but some PuriPuri songs are pop-oriented.
