If you were to get married...what would be your wedding theme song? If you are already and had a song tell me what it was...and also post lyrics if possible... :thumb:

My wedding song would have to be I'll Be Your (Crying Shoulder) by Edwin McCain

The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
Stop me and steal my breath
And emeralds from mountains thrust towards the sky
Never revealing their depth
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

Chorus:I'll Be your cryin' shoulder
I'll Be loves suicide
I'll Be better when I'm older
I'll Be the greatest fan of your life

And rain falls angry on the tin roof
As we lie awake in my bed
You're My Survival, You're My Living Proof
My love is alive and not dead

Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

Chorus

And I've dropped out, I've burned up, I fought my way back from the dead
Tuned in, turned on, remembered the things that you said

Chorus

Chorus

The greatest fan of your life.

Or it would be Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls...

Verse 1

And I'd give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now
Verse 2

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight
Chorus

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
Verse 3

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything seems like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know your alive

Chorus

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
Chorus

I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

Lol, I have no idea. I haven't thought about it, though I have thought about weddings a good bit. Romance writing...haha. I think the perfect Father-Daughter dance song would be either "I loved her First" or "Butterfly Kisses".

Simple. Oh! Emetephobia! by Showbread.

Now imagine the wedding party dancing to that during the reception.

I'd have to ask her, now, wouldn't I? That's not my decision alone.

Aye, Raiden is right...you would need to ask your significant other, as well, but in all seriousness, I'm thinking "It's Your Love" By Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

Here's the setup I'd like to incoporate should I get married.

Song when father + bride stop at the end of the aisle: "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle

Song right after vows are given, before minister presents the married couple: "I Will Be Here" by Steven Curtis Chapman, preferably sung as a duet between a guy and lady.

Theme to be played as wedding party enters reception hall, followed by couple: March from Star Wars when Han and Luke go to receive their medals. Don't ask me why, I just thought it'd be neat. That, and my cousin and her husband entered the reception hall to the "Rocky" theme, which I thought was pointless.

I imagine that it will be a song that has gained it's significance at some point during the relationship. Since I'm not in a relationship right now, I don't have any frame of reference to make such a prediction.

Pink Floyd's Classic, "Comfortably Numb"

Hello.
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone home?

Come on, now.
I hear you're feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain,
Get you on your feet again.

Relax.
I need some information first.
Just the basic facts:
Can you show me where it hurts?

There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ships smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I cant hear what you're saying.
When I was a child I had a fever.
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I got that feeling once again.
I cant explain, you would not understand.
This is not how I am.
I have become comfortably numb.

Ok.
Just a little pinprick. (ping)
There'll be no more --aaaaaahhhhh!
But you may feel a little sick.

Can you stand up?
I do believe its working. good.
That'll keep you going for the show.
Come on its time to go.

There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ships smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I cant hear what you're saying.
When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse,
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone.
I cannot put my finger on it now.
The child is grown, the dream is gone.
I have become comfortably numb.

There's too many for me to name, but the only one I can think of right now would be There For You by Flyleaf...

(Just thought of another one....Far Away by Nickelback)

...Ok, I finally found the perfect one...Revelation by The Wedding (man, the irony of it all....still, this song gives me goosebumps just thinking of that day...)
