Post your favorite Myspace Band! (Links Optional)

Me, I've been getting into folk and experimental alot these days, what with my rather abrupt introduction to Iron And Wine, so while flipping through the Myspace pages, I came upon this beauty!

This little lady has a hot hand with the ukelele and has captured my favorite list for a while now.

Favorite Myspace Band:Cerberus Siren

P.S. Oh right, before I forget...

CAT POWER. IT IS THE WIN.

At the moment: Gretchen (sort of gothic rock metal with a little pop). - Christian

http://www.myspace.com/gretchenland

They're good.

Also Collide (sort of gothic/industrial rock/electronica) - Non-Christian

Evanescence and P.O.D also (but they are really well known)

http://www.myspace.com/evanescence - used to be Christian, may still be?

http://www.myspace.com/payableondeath - Christian

Actually, I don't think they were ever christian, dude. Amy Lee has professed to being a wiccan.

Also, Cat Power. I cannot get over how good Cat Power is. I may die of happy.

Okay, well they used to be Christians. At least Ben Moody was and Amy Lee (even if it was only for a short while - during Origin (1999).
Where did she profess to being Wiccan?

Cerberus Siren seems a bit odd for me. I'll try Cat Power though.

Oooh, I like Cat Power! (how come they have no friend comments?)

If Amy were to read this, she could rightfully sue you for libel. She's a devout Christian.

My favorite Myspace band?

Well... they've got a strong worldwide fanbase, but still...

Punk + Bagpipes = love.

Not according to what I've heard, but this isn't the "Amy Lee" Faith thread, so we'll move on.

For the Clocktower.

WIN.

Abney Parkis a Steam Punk band based in Seattle. Using a mix of industrial dance, middle eastern music and symphonic epics, they seek to create an anachronistic hybrid of these various styles of music. (taken from wikipedia, because I found it difficult to describe them)

I love Abney Park. They are absolutely amazing.

Also: This thread has made me very happy so far. Gothic, Folk, and nice Irish Folk+ Punk Band? We are off to a nice start! ^_^

The Sundance Kids

Acoustic/rock at its finest. They sound great live too.

Wow, Abney Park were quite... different. Not sure if I like their stuff. It's certainly original though.
