grits, kj-52, john reuben, precussions, tobymac (rap-rock fusion), p.o.d. (more rap-rock fusion)....etc, but it's based more off opinion

I've never actually heard a good MC on the Christian side. KJ-52 is terrible, but he's honest about everything, so I guess that's a plus.
Mega.EXE wrote:or any good rap at all for that matter XD

There's actually plenty, but the radio is too afraid to play it.

All three are awesome imo. John Reuben is a very gifted rapper, and he has alot of strong, thought-provoking statements to make. It's not any of that, "Haha life is soooo good because I'm a rich white kid in living American!" crap. :P His lyrics challenge thought, as well as hold some witty satirical remarks.

KJ-52 is terrible

Yeah, he really isn't very good. XD

Heeey! XD

John Reuben, Red Cloud, Pigeon John, not KJ-52, LeCrae (he should be on BET and MTV and VH1, seriously, he is better than most secular rappers), Ill Harmonics, Mars Ill (ONE OF THE WU-TANG CLAN DID GUEST VOCALS ON THEIR CD. OH MY GOSH.)...there are other good ones. Saying that all rap is bad and that there are no good Christian rappers is just ig'nant.......just for the record of those who said so.

I second Red Cloud and Pigeon John. There's also Seven, Sup The Chemist and many others. Though it went under I'd recommend pretty much anything by the label Grapetree. Ninety percent of the stuff was better than the secular hip hop crap that's out there.

Oh yeah also try Pettidee and OLD Tbone stuff (Tbone's new stuff is all whiney and sucks.)

P.O.D is not rap. Some of their stuff is rapcore though. I enjoy some rap: John Reuben, TobyMac and GRITS.

No one has mentioned Cross Movement at all? I don't like rap much, but I LOVE these guys.

FLAME is another solo Christian rapper and he is extremley talented.

KJ-52's first two albums are definately worth a listen. I don't like his new stuff much, but Collaborations, his second album, is really good.

I recommend Cross Movement and FLAME right now. They are the best Christian rappers [PERIOD]

If you think that Cross Movement is the best christian rap out there than you haven't heard much. They are definately good but there is so much stuff out there that is better. Yeah christian rap has gone underground again...

I remember a group called Gosepel Gangstaz. Regardless of their corny name, they were REALLY good.

Also to add, the best Cross Movement CD is House of Representatives. Their latest stuff has a great message, but it's not as good.

Gospel Gantsa's were pretty good, so was GOG's God's Original Gangsta's. As far as my favorite rapper I'd have to say Sup The Chemist is it.

Never heard of him. Got a link to his stuff because I don't wanna buy it just by knowing you like it, no offence.

Whoever brought up Tbone, I got like one thing to say.

GOSPELALPHAMEGAFUNKYBOOGIEDISCOMUSIC! AHUH!

Anyways, there's also KRS-One. I don't know what his religious stance is now, but Spiritual-Minded is a sick rap album.

T-Bone, Grits, LA Symphony, 4th Avenue Jones, and Ill Harmonics are all good. Let's see what we can find in the way of free downloads...

4th Avenue Jones has 4 free song downloads on their MySpace page. "Take me Away" is the only real rap song out of the 4.

LA Symphony has one free song on their PureVolume page.

Whoops Mega had forgotten about John Reuben but other than him I don't like anyone else

I don't like John Reuben at all. He isn't rap, he's hip hop. Plus, I hate how he sniffles in the middle of his songs (listen to 'Do Not').

^ Hip-hop is a cultural movement, not a musical genre.

Jayquam, have you heard Flame and do you have House of Representatives?

I doubt anyone here has heard the old Kj-52 besides me because ify ou did, unless you aboslutely hate rap, I doubt you'd hate him as much.

7th Avenue and Collaborations by Kj-52 aka King J Mac are freakin good rap albums. Plus, Collabarations has a Black Sheep cover.

Oh, well, if you say so I guess.

I love his old stuff, but I can't say the same for his new stuff. Behind the Music was far better than It's Pronounced Five-Two. I HATED that CD. My Dad likes Soul Purpose which is Kj and Tod Collins together.
