Atra is definately one of the best. And I think that Mortal's CD Nu-En-Jin would qualify as well.

Mortal wasn't really metal though. They were just pure industrial IMO

Celldweller is win. Not what I'd consider metal... or hardcore... but still awesome nontheless.

I have to second Showbread and The Blood Brothers, as well. I will also add Deadsy to my list XD They're not as heavy as Celldweller, but still good IMO.

Yes, yes you do have to second them because you know the keys in Welcome to Plainfield, Tobe Hooper and Cecilia and the Silhouette Saloon pwn you so good.

Yeah I think I should change this to the "electronically driven hardrock thread."

I love KMFDM. I'm not going to go into the whole genre debate, though.

^^ You said metal and hardcore, so I figured that left it kinda open.

KMFDM is pretty good from what I've heard...But that was only one song. Anyway I decided to modify the name so there would be no debate.

Welcome To Plainfield, Tobe Hooper is WIN. I love that song so much XD Cecilia and the Silhouette Saloon is good too... but don't forget Spit Shine Your Black Clouds, J. It's like the Gorillaz... or rather, it's like The Blood Brothers ATE the Gorillaz.

It's more like the Blood Brothers tortured the Gorillaz for a while and then slowly ate them...alive.

Yep. I think the Blood Brothers should eat the Gorillaz again on their next album, too. :D

But since this is the ideal topic... here's a question, or, a request, rather:
I want a good, consistent industrial band. I'm not particularly fond of metal, so I would prefer it weren't a metal industrial band. By 'consistent' I mean, one that sticks to the same kind of music all the time. Something maybe like Celldweller or old Rammstein (and yes, I know Rammstein is kinda metal)... Something with good, fluid melodies.

Though it's not the most melodiuos have you checked out Clay Scott's other stuff? Particularly "Circle Of Dust?"

I want to, but it's too hard to find... and I just don't really like dealing on ebay anymore. I heard a cover by Circle of Dust of a song called 'Am I In Sync?,' but I forgot who wrote the original. By melodious I don't really mean that it has to be all upbeat and whatnot... I just consider 'melodious' to be the opposite of 'chaotic'. I guess I really mean that I don't want something that jumps around alot... if you've ever heard anything from 'Art Damage' by Fear Before The March of Flames... that's what I mean by chaotic. It's weird to explain =x

Would you consider Norma Jean or August Burns Red to be chaotic? Because that is what I think of when I hear that. As far as the Circle Of Dust stuff...I do know that it was re-released but I don't remember how to get it. Anyway another good Clay Scott work is AP2.

I don't think I've heard of AP2. I'll have to look into it. :D

AP2 is basically the second Argyle Park CD.

Oh, okay... If I remember correct, Argyle Park was early Clay Scott, right?

Yeah Argyle Park was early Clay Scott stuff. Actually it was a collaberation with him, Klank, Mark Soloman and a few other artists.
