Anyone here like the Tribe? (WWMT)

I might be alone here, being English. They brought their new album out recently.. I haven't checked it out yet, but since I was a kid I was their number #1 fan. I've seen them live about 8 times.

Their most well-known songs are probably "The Real Thing" and "Jumping In The House Of God".

Anyone else a fan and if so, what's the new album like? I prefer most of their older stuff but they've been known to bring out a few pleasant surprises

LOL... that's a typical tribe-fan response, it's that kinda group.
Have you heard of Planet Life? The church I'm with at the moment are the guys who run that ^_^ (Kings Church Manchester)

Can't say that I have, but I'm on the other side of "the pond" from you.... and a bit out of touch with some of the newer music.

I've got some stuff that originated over there, 65dba.... and I think some of that group used to be part of another that I had an album to (Human Ocean?).. anyway... older stuff mostly.

Got a broad range of music likes.... some of my favoriate stuff is so opposite end of the spectrum it's kidna funny (Billy Sprague on one end.... Under Midnight, least what I've heard of them, and Dance/Techno stuff on the other).

Any MP3s online to sample of them? I don't download alot (28.8k baud) but I've been known to download some of the stuff people have done.... even listened to this stuff by some guy going by djnoz :D

I too loved there old stuff...I have heard some of the new stuff...downloaded a bit a while back...it was awful. Nothing like back in the day with Heavyfoot. I bought 2 of there cds a while back from a CD club...Heatseaker (awesome and a half lol) and a greatest hits of there old stuff. I miss the old sound. Now they sound like rehashed Raze on a caffine buzz.

you saw them 8 times? OK now i'm jealous. i'm in the states(central ny) And i was blessed just to get a hold of a tribe CD. But yea, the pre 2000 stuff is where it was at for me.

I'd love to see a christain dance scene emerge around here. I've tried so many times to get the word out on tastyfresh, hand out music. Theres a few (well 4) of us that have been putting a business plan together for about a yr. Every time we meet, we get new ideas. lord willing, something will come of it.

no doubt, they probably think they invented the rainbow too.

but yea, since the rave culture is so PLUR, human instinct kicks in eventually, and someone from the tribe will naturally try to take control. And from what i see in the scene, they're the growing number.

Thats quite a job to take on, though.

Someday i'll fill you in on the deets we have for our Christain club...the bonfire...

take control and claim the scene as "theirs"
then tell their freinds "we" have this place we hang at.
like this park i used to live by, they claimed this park to be "theirs" cause thats where they met from time to time, but it s a public park. But soon enough that was the spot for them to meet and it becames known as "gay" rock park instead of grey rock park(cause of the big grey rocks..0_o) Then through the yrs, peeps say theres the park they built for gays...no thats not it you dope, its still a public park for "everyone".

And i meant so PLUR by the real scene is so laid back that they're not seeing the gay peeps as "claiming the scene" or they do and dont want to step over the boundries of being PLUR. So soon enough not only will general public see the rave scene as drug infested but gay as well. Cause thats what peopke do -generalize and catagorize.
That make more sense?
