Panic! At the Disco is really Fall Out Boy in disguise. *not really* But they might as well be, since they sound so similar. Similarly horrible. (XD Don't kill me, fans of those bands.)

old staple music sounds like Chevelle but the newer doesn't (staple is so much better lyrically and singing wise I hate chevelle singers voice)

Chevelle sound nothing like Staple lol. They do however sound a little like Tool. (early Chevelle) And yes, Panic does sound like Fall Out Boy.

^^;; I don't see that similarity...but maybe I'm missing it.
I think Jagged Edge and 112 have similar styles...same number of group memebers, harmonies are kinda similar.

I'm on crack. I always kind of lump the two together. The Chariot IS like Botch, though.

Chevelle sounds like Helmet to me.
Lacuna Coil <-> Evanescence (LC is better though)
Norma Jean <-> Necrophagist <-> Demon Hunter <-> All That Remains <-> (just insert any hardcore or death metal band here, they all sound the same to me)
Creed <-> Kutless (Creed owns Kutless)
Most Emo sounds alike to me.

You obviously don't pay much attention to the music. Either that or you're just plain ignorant (which I hope is not the case). All those bands are extremely different from each other.

Or he doesn't pay much attention to hardcore or death metal because he doesn't like it...Which isn't wrong, and doesn't make him ignorant. Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks remember
Personally I love hardcore and such...Though I do try and stay with the christian bands or ones with mostly clean lyrics.

But saying that they all sound the same is ignorant. It's like saying that Dave Matthews Band sounds the same as Blink 182. I can't stand either of those bands, but they are quite easy to tell apart. Just because I don't like pop/pop-punk/rap/hip-hop/country/light rock/emo/classic rock doesn't mean that I use that as an excuse to lump all those different genres together; I'd look like a complete idiot. Anyone with half a brain should be able to tell them apart, unless they are too lazy to use it or are mentally incapacitated. The same goes for hardcore and death metal; they are two completely different genres of music. The only things they have in common are screamed vocals (which come in many different varieties), distorted guitars/bass, and generally fast and hard-hitting drums, and even still, there are many exceptions to these common factors. Even bands within the same sub-subgenre can be easily distinguished (i.e. Theory In Practice and Pavor; both are technical death metal, but are very different from one another).

Pretty much any emo/pop punk band. Atrayu, Fall out Boy, Panic at the Disco, All American Rejects, Yellowcard, etc. Same look, same attitude, same vocal style, same lyrics practically, same chords, same backbeat. same down to everything almost. I've always said I could play these group's songs on one CD to someone who had never heard them and they wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Heck I actually did it two weeks ago for my uncle and aunt and they thought it was only two different bands not six.

I got your point Eric. I was mostly just trying to keep the peace because the way you had posted seemed to me to be something that could start a flame war and I don't want to see that happening.

The lead singer of Amberlin sounds a bit like Kevin Max.
