im trying to find Japanese christian music: heavy metal, pop, rock, rock-pop, techno, rap, hip hop, psychedelic whatever if theyre a Japanese band by all means referr me to their music. Very much obligated my friend!

You should check out Purevolume...I know that there are some good Jrock bands one there...Haven't read through all of them so I don't know if any are christian though. Honestly I really don't think you'll be able to find much Japanese christian music because only about %1 of the population is christian out there.

Yeah, purevolumes ur best bet. I listen to quite a bit of j-rock but i haven't found any yet.

Most of the "Japanese christian music" is just Americans who make christian music in Japan.

I believe Divinefire (power metal) and Renascent (melodic death metal) are on King Records. I think Divinefire has even done a few tours in Japan.

i found a jrock fashion mag at hot topic called core and it is in 日本語 which is cool so yeah but theyre not christian bands or anything, in fact theyre not reali good bands at, they just dress rock-ish which is why its a rock-fashion mag so yeah. from what i understand none of the groups in that mag sing goo..

another thing is i found of a really cool christian metal band from Korea, theyre called Jeremy.

another thing is i found of a christian music festival hosted every year called Gocha Fest and Gocha West.

I don't know if Hyde is christian but his US debut album Faith has a pretty heavy christian undertone in it. I would recommend that. Has anyone listened to this album by the way?

I'd second checking out HYDE's new album, Faith. As stated before I don't know if it's christian but I've read some of the lyrics and there was nothing objectionable in the two or three songs I looked at.

Yeah I have the album its very good.

But I would as well love to know any other christian Jpop or Jrick artists. I was actually thinking about amking a topic myself...haha funny .

Yeah there aren't any christian bands that are big enough to be known about in Japan. They have such a small percentage of christians there anyway.

Speaking of which, I was in a Japanese store the other day and heard Hillsong in Japanese playing over the speakers. I really enjoyed being able to hear them in Japanese. When I talked to the owner, he said that he purchased the CD in Japan after a Hillsong concert there.

I'd like to know if there are any around, too - I suppose we'll just have to keep our eyes open. I believe that there probably are some Christian Japanese bands out there, but like TD said, they probably wouldn't be big enough to be well-known.

I know for a fact that hyde isn't a Christian, though he does believe Jesus was a very important man.
