JOhn Denver's "Country Roads" appears in Whisper of The Heartand Duran Duran's "Girls on Film" is the theme song for Speedgrapher. What other American tunes do you think should be in what anime? Here are some I think would work:
Trigun:
  • "Blaze of Glory"or "Wanted Dead or Alive"--Bon Jovi
  • "Desperado"--Eagles
  • "Renegade"--Styx

Boogiepop Phantom:
"Mary Jane's Last Dance"--Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
Lupin III:
"Been Caught Stealing"--Jane's Addiction
Okay, let's see some of yours.

"Highway Star" by Deep Purple should be in any anime with a high speed chase in it somewhere

I was soooo amazed to see that! I mean, how many new popular songs would you think appear in anime?

I thought it was werid enough already that I heard Toby Mac's Atmosphere in a car commercial, yet, it was only the background music (very odd stuff)!
Can't think off the top of my head but honestly, I think A LOT of english music would work well in anime. JPOP/JROCK already has a VERY wide variety of tunes in the genre alone.

...BTW rocklobster, I've been playing DDR Ultra Mix 3 alot lately and wondered if your username was inspired by the B5-2's song.
