As year ago, I used to hate J-Pop. Basically cause it was:

1) pop
2) Not hard
3) boring
4) Only girls, from what I saw, listened to it and I found the fans annoying which usually puts me off on alot of stuff.

But, during springs and then into summer and into this fall, I have gradually slid into like J-Pop to th epoint that is what I listen to the most. I have not listened to anything besides J-Pop since a week ago.

It's funny how musical tastes change.

I am getting into some American pop. Though she's Mandarin, check out Corrinne May (I made a thread about her). Her voice is amazing.

I listen to:

Maaya Sakamoto
The Pillows
Do as Infinity
T.M. Revolution
Akino Arai
Minmi

I really love Maaya Sakamoto. Quite possibly one of the best voices in J-Pop IMO. Now what;s the difference between J-Pop and J-Rock?

J-pop is better than American pop because unless you know Japanese you have to translate the lyrics before you can be put off by them. And oh yeah, sometimes the tunes are fun.

Funny how listening to a lot of anime opening themes will make one like J-pop.
