Hi! Can anyone recommend to me an affordable durable CD Player that can last for a long time, has shock protection, and anti-skip?

Let's see. I have an old sony that I've had for... Whoa. 10 years now, and it STILL runs fine. I'd say that's 'long lasting.' As for anti-skip, I once took a corner to quick in my car, and the cdplayer flew off the passenger seat and slammed into the door before slipping (upside down) under the seat. It never skipped.

i have a sony too. but mine skips, since my sister 'wrecked' it. i don't know how... but it skips. it usually didn't...
still, i'm one of those people who cannot stand those tiny earphones because of sound quality. i need BIG headphone sets. so, quality does matter, and therefore i only use CDs. higher sound quality than ordinary MP3.
but if you can't tell the difference, then just get MP3. they shouldn't be expensive at all these days.
