Songs Linked to your memory?

Do any of you have songs that you link in your minds to certain points in your life, or certain key experiences? I do.

"What if I stumble" by DC Talk always makes me think of my trip to Washington DC in the eighth grade. It directly corresponded with my fears of messing up and looking like a fool infront of the rest of my class.

"Something More" by Switchfoot reminds me of my trip to Europe, specifically the long ride through France. It was a point in my life where I was experiencing one of my biggest dreams, and yet, I wasnt happy, I was looking for something more, just like the song said.

"The Luckiest" by Ben Folds reminds me of my missions trip to Nicaragua.

All three of these are things I was listening to at the times I assosiate them with, but they also correspond with my feelings at each of those times. I find this interesting. Do any of you have simmilar memories attached to songs?

Whenever I listen to "Lying From You" by Linkin Park, I always think of my trip to India in November 2004 and the tsunami, last year...

I don't know why though.

"Dive" by Steven Curtis Chapman reminds me of a time in 5th grade when I slept over at my church with a bunch of other kids. It was a really fun night - I stayed up all night playing Gameboy and stuff with a couple of friends. I was sick and exhausted the next day, when I was supposed to go to a birthday party. So I stayed home instead. It reminds me also to pray for those friends, because I haven't seen them in years, and I wonder how they are doing.

"Three Days Later" by FM Static, among other songs, remind me of some other friends, who I am still mostly in contact with. We were bored, and all spent the night in a minivan outside my friend's house, singing songs such as the one mentioned. We left one of the windows open, so it was absolutely freezing in the morning when we woke up. It was pretty uncomfortable sleeping, but it was a memorable experience.

Certain worship songs have strong associations for me, although I can't think of any specific ones at the moment.

"Meant to Live" by Switchfoot reminds me of a youth conference I attended because the song was played frequently there.

I also have fond memories of Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique because of a performance I played in.

This is an awesome thread. I am the kind of person...who chapters his life off in his head somtimes with songs. When I hear certain songs...it really does somthing to me. I can remember where and how I felt at the moment and such. It really gets me when I hear songs I attributed to girls I have dated in the past. Kinda kills the song for me really. >.<
