Just like Road Runner to potentially ruin a bands image...however ruining a great band like this is hard to do. Newest Metal Sensation since Slipknot. hahaha...::cough:: Make's me sick.

Anyone planning on getting this c.d.?

I'm suprised no one posted on this. Opeth,hmm...havent heard any of their stuff. What do they sing about. I hope they are no way like slipknot

No cause Opeth doesn't sound like crap...in which Slipknot is...crap.

Oh BTW the people were considering this to be a hoax. Mostly because they didn't use Opeth's little logo that they always use:

Uh..thanks for replying. Not trying to sound rude but what do they sing about like lyrically and stuff. Thanks someone agrees slipknot(see i don't even capitolize it !) is crap. I can't see myself EVER listening to them or any other Christian realy, for that matter, which i know some Chrsitian bands do . Anyway about those lyrics..(and thats a pretty sweet logo)

I hope that Opeth is not going the way of Slipknot. That would be sad.

I saw Opeth in concert awhile back They were fantastic. The lead singer had a cold, but still gave us an awesome performance.

As to lyrics, I am not sure. They aren't one of your blatant anti-Christian bands as far as I know (like Dimmu Borgir or Death) nor are they gore-core (Carcass, Six Feet Under). Everything I have seen of their lyrics has been clean enough, but then I have not seen anything like all of it. I highly encourage you to read their lyrics for yourself before buying.

Musically, they are fantastic and their extended-length death metal epics are a great addition to my metal collection.

No cuss words in thier music which is used alot in some Black Metal genres. however, they aren't most clean as well. Thier new c.d. "ghost reveries" does have some occultic tones to it so I wouldnt suggest them to someone who finds that offensive. I do, however, love thier lyrics.

it's just a shame of the genre they belong to. I would LOVE to see them live and I bet they rock...but what turns me away is the crowd which tends to be a bit disturbing in some cases.

Oh and one thing that kinda turned me of was thier video from thier new c.d. It has alot of sexual tones/creepy with a guy in a zoro mask watching a girl sleep and yelling at some old guy (note the girl is in her underwears). That's as far as I got cause it took a heck of a time to upload.

Thanks for replying guys. So...there old stuff is pretty clean, like no cussing and pretty good lyrics?Anyway i'm glad they arent Blatenly anything like dimmu borgir and stuff. And they are Death/Black Metal i assume?
