I'm so happy Mark Tremonti finally gets a chance to cut loose. 'One Day Remains' is such an excellent album. I can't stop listening to it. Myles Kennedy is probably the closest thing to a perfect rock singer too.

Anybody else a Tremonti fan? List your favorite songs.

Creed:
Are You Ready?
Higher
Stand Here With Me (excellent shred solo)
My Own Prison
What's This Life For?
Faceless Man

Alter Bridge:
Down to my Last
One Day Remains (Solo owns me)
Metalingus
Find the Real
Open Your Eyes
Shed My Skin

I find Alter Bridge rather....mundane. There stuff all sounds the same to me...which is saying a lot considering how bad Creed was for that. I just don't like em I guess.

I liked Creed a whole lot, but I'm not really liking Alter Bridge too much. I was told that they pretty much kicked Scott Stapp out because he was writing lyrics that were "too Christian", but then if you listen to the lyrics for "Find the Real," it all makes me wonder...

I read an article interview with Scott Stapp a while back on JFH. Basicly Stapp said he was not proud of himself the last few years, was now taking his faith seriously...etc. As far as I know he and the other members of Creed parted on good terms. It was not a case of Christianity or anything.

Aha! Found the interview I was thinking of...or one of them at least.

They didn't kick Stapp out because he was a christian. Tremonti and Stapp broke up Tremonti wanted to play different music.

And what's wrong with 'Find the Real' lyrics? They're about seeking forgiveness of sin.

I wasn't a huge Creed fan...but I do love Alter Bridge :) I think because it tends to hit a little heavier than Creed.

Going by what I had been told that the breakup was because of Stapp's Christianity, I had just thought that the "Find the Real" lyrics seemed a little weird if that had been the actual reason. I never said I didn't like the lyrics.

So anyway, did anyone catch AB on the MLB Home Run Derby last night? I taped 3 hours of baseball for 2 mins of footage, but wow, it was worth it.

This thread deserves a bump. If anyone would like to hear a metal instrumental song that Alter Bridge did, called "Ahavo Rabo Taco Salad," hit me up on

I like Alter Bridge more than Creed right now. "Open Your Eyes", "Metalingus", and "In Loving Memory" are all great.

Yes! After a few months, this thread has caught on.

I do want to hear Ahavo, but I'm leary about file sharing so I may wait until I can get my hands on it somewhere else.

Anywho, I'm trying to learn the guitar part for One Day Remains right now, but it's so hard. The picking during the chorus is what gets me. Has anyone heard On My Way Now? It's available on AlterBridgeBand.net. It's really good, all acoustic though.

Well you can only get it from a cd in some guitar magazine, but I have no idea what magazine it is (a friend of mine sent it to me). So if you really don't want me to send it to you....good luck finding it. lol
