I thought that I would share this with you all. This is my write up from my LJ post.

I finally able to wrote my post about the concert.

For two nights only, on Friday and Sat night. The Final Fantasy symphony concert tour hosted by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. Me and my dad went on Sat night at 6 pm. The worst part of it was the trip getting there. We rode MARTA and forgot that there was a Braves game and it just had ended. So, we are pack in on the train and we worried that we would miss some of the concert. We made it to the Arts Center station with 10 mins before the concert and we took off down the street and made our way to inside Atlanta Symphony Hall.

We were steated close to the middle of the Front Balcony at the top of symphony hall. They had three big video screens set up, that each song that they played, they had in the game video that showed for each song and which Final Fantasy game that it was in.

This is music that they played.

1. Liber Fatali - FF VIII
2. Zanarkand - FF X
3. Terra's Theme - FF VI
4. Theme of love - FF IV
5. Dear Friends - FF V
6. Vamo' Alla Flamenco - FF IX
7. Love Grows - FF VIII

Then intermission

As they had intermission, I went down to buy the program book they were selling for this concert. It is a very nice book with drawings from all of the FF games and shows which songs that were pick for this concert.

After that, I went back and was sat down and with a few mins later. The next part of the show started.

8. Aeris's Theme - FF VII
9. Not Alone - FF IX
10. Ronfaure - FF XI
11. Final Fantasy medley from all from FF I, FF II and FF III
12. New Melody - Final Fantasy VII Advent Children
13. Final Fantasy

After that, they play three more songs from FF VII Advent Children.

Both me and my dad had a bast at this concert. My dad is a big time fan of symphony music and got me into classical music when I very little and he also like alot of the music from video games and anime that are symphony music.

Yeah, ASO pick it up as soon it was going on tour. They are trying to bring in more younger people in to see their concerts. Right now, there is no date on if it will return, but I would say that if got to chance to host it again. I think they would be more then happy to do the concert again.

We had over 500 people there and only 15 people were from Ga, the rest were from all over the US and two came all this way from Germany.

Today in the Atlanta paper, they had a write up about the concert and they called it a hit. It said that, there was a few seats that were not taking on Friday night, but Saturday night, it was sold out.

I wouldn't have known about the concert if it wasn't for the Altanta anime e-mail group that I'm under.

Dear Friends

That is the webpage that will give you dates on when and where the concert will be at.

If they do have it again in Atlanta, I will try to post any info on it at the board.

Wow, you're really getting me excited about the one I'm going to this Friday. I'm a newbie to FF, mainly thanks to Advent Children, but I really loved the music in KH, FFVII, and FFX so when I heard they were doing a concert about five hours from here, I made it a point to go.
I mean missed out on the Starwars, and lotr ochestra performances so I didn't want to miss this!
So from what I've heard the only items they will have are the cds, and program book? :)
God Bless,
Souba

I let you know now. You will need to bring some money with you.

The program is $20, but they are worth it.

They should be selling T-shirts, the colors for those are gray or black and say,Dear Friends: Music from Final Fantasy on it or something like that. They are both $15

Poster that says Dear Friends: Music from Final Fantasy is $10

I didn't see them sell any music cd's there.

I heard awhile back that he was going to be having a FF concert at Disney Land. It would have been awesome to have gone!
But you are so lucky!
I am also a fan of symphony music! In fact, I have quiet a few Final Fantasy songs on my computer.

8. Aeris's Theme - FF VII

I love that song!
