I want to get an At the Drive-In album. Anyone who likes them have a particular album to recommend? I'm leaning toward the Vaya EP but I'm not sure.

At the Drive-In are great, hehehe I always joked because they were bound to be so big yet they hailed from Texas (El Paso to be exact).
Um, shall I suggest either Acrobat Tenament or Relationship of Command (That album has classics like "One-Armed Scissor" and "Pattern Against User").
The band broke up and split off into two groups, one being The Mars Volta (Awesome) and the other Sparta (Who are not that great by the way).
Glad to hear from a fellow ATDI listener.

Relationship of Command definitely. The songs Zedian mentioned are awesome and one of my personal favorites, "Enfilade", is on the album as well.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I knew about Mars Volta and Sparta, actually, Zedian. TMV is pretty good. I haven't checked Sparta out yet, but my friend said they were really, really emo (not that that's a bad thing, I mean...I like some Death Cab now and then). But yeah, I think I'll check out Relationship of Command. I've been listening to the two songs on their PureVolume site (Heliotrope and Rascuache) a LOT. I hate that they broke up or whatever. Anyway, thanks a whole lot guys. I figured there'd be some ATDI fans somewhere around here haha.
EDIT: Just ordered Relationship of Command. Thanks again guys.

I bought In/Casino/Out tonight and I have now decided that At the Drive-In is really, really, really, really, really, really rad and I dig. Wow. Why did no one tell me about them sooner, like, four years ago?

aku_soku_zan, I am glad you listen to Death Cab, they are pretty awesome.
I forget about In/Casino/Out --that is an awesome album and only behind Relationship of Command. As for the Sparta thing, yeah I guess what I don't like about them is how plain their music sounds, they sound too much like so many other bands out there.

(as for Death Cab, yes, they are pretty awesome, Ben Gibbard's voice is great stuff)
That sucks that Sparta sounds so much like lots of other bands out there. I need to check out more of The Mars Volta, though.
You know, the reason I bought In/Casino/Out was because it was the only record of theirs aside from Relationship of Command that didn't have the F word in it somewhere lol...but what I ended up getting was a REALLY good CD. Chanbara owns me.
