In no particular order:
Josh Groban, Judy Garland, Helen Reddy, Karen Carpenter, Charlotte Church, Doris Day, Marie Brennan, Amy Grant, Dean Martin, Elvis, Adrienne Camp, Andrea Bocelli. I'd list singers from Tourniquet, Rhapsody, and Narnia, but I haven't the slightest idea what their names are and I'm too lazy to look them up. The same goes for the Japanese music I listen to - I just sort of latch on to individual songs rather than the singers.
For DJs (they don't sing, but they don't really count as bands, either) I like DJ Mystik and DJ Tiesto.

Frank Sinatra, Amy Lee (Evanescence), Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman, Michael Crawford, Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), Mai Yamane, Steve Conte, John...Cooper, is that his name? (Skillet), Emmylou Harris, and I can't think of any more right now.

Umm that kinda changes. I probably listen to more bands than just solo singers, but assuming that your including those (order not necessarily favorite 1st) Casting Crowns, Switchfoot, dc talk (you did not say still had to be performing
), ApologetiX, Newsboys, Toby Mac, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, and Jars of Clay.

Andrew "Mushroom" Vowles, Grant "Daddy G" Marshall, 3D (Robert del Naja), and Horace Andy are high up on my favorites, though one or two have left they were all involved with Massive Attack at one point.
Then there's Yamato, Ryo, and Hiroki from Orange Range; been listening to a lot of them lately.
And I'm surprised David Bowie hasnt been mentioned, he's a legend.
