I play piano/keyboards and I sing. I'm supposedly in a band that hasn't had any official meetings yet and I was on my church's worship team and youth worship band before my family stopped going to that church. Now, I just play piano at home and sing along with the radio.

Piano mostly now.

At one stage I played cornet and E-flat-horn when I was going to the Salvation Army, although I haven't played in years.

A fellow trombone player :D:D  I play trombone too. That reminds me, I still have to practice for another hour this week...I've been looking on eBay for trombones so I don't have to use a school one.

As my name suggests, I play bass in a youth and soon to be, adult praise band. I also play trumpet in the school band.

Hey yea, I'm an instrumentalist. Music seems to be a big talent for me in life. My friends always jokingly say that every instrument I pick up turns to gold, hehe. But yea, I've been playing the cello almost all my life, getting really good at guitar for my 1 1/2 of playing it, I've played the piano for 4 years, but don't take lessons anymore, but I still practice up, and I can sing really well also (helps with the guitar too). But yea, for the Lord said, make a joyous noise! Music rocks.

I used to play the clarinet in band, back when John Williams was my hero. I can play the piano a little, and I love the Irish penny whistle. I'll also sing if someone holds a gun to my head. (who wouldn't? )

I used to only sing, but then our worship team needed a guitar player. I had an old guitar that I had taught myself to play an EM11 on, so I brought that began to play for the team as well as sing. Eventually, we got a real guitar player, and I ended up learning bass. Now I just huddle over by the keyboard player and read off her music, since we don't have enough music stands any more. Eventually, I wanna learn to play this horner that's by my computer here. Hmm...

isn't an Em11 an open string chord with no freted notes (tab goes 000000)

I play..flute then the blessed alto and bass flutes, which i really don't like, and piccolo.
And I sing quite a bit actually...I'm in our full school choir and then in the select choir...but I'm a low alto so I guess my singing doesn't count for much

All of you who play guitar are so lucky... I'd do anythign to be able to play it.

Yeah, I'm limited to finger picking myself. I'll just stick with keyboards for now.

One thing I'd love to be able to play is drums. I have this fantasy of being in a hair band as the wild'n'crezzy drummer who breaks sticks and snares on solos every night in a practically expected frenzy of torrential but completely rhythmic rock'n'roll beats. The problem is that I can't walk and chew gum at the same time, so getting coordinated will take practise, but I *can* grow enough hair to be in a hair band without a wig! Anyone taking applications?

I play the flute in my high school's marching band. Our first contest is next week! ;)

I play Irish whistle, but can't play along with every song... Basically the song must be written in a compatible key since Irish whistle only has 6 notes (though 2 octaves, so 12 notes if you count that... doesn't change the problem at hand)

Oh, and I play the recorder too, though not as well... And knowing to play one really conflicts with knowing to play the other, as they have a different set of notes and I tend to get confused between them.

I really want to learn piano, though... I'll start classes next semester, hopefully.

I make noise on the violin, and after 5 years of practice it is finally starting to sound music instead of a cat having a heart-attack!

Ah yes, the ocarina. Such an incredibly cool instrument in Legend of Zelda, so annoying in real life. But that's just me personally, I'm sure it works for some people.

I guess I see what you mean. The sound was toned down in Zelda (to preserve one's eardrums) and you just can't compete with the magic quality of its songs. Wheras getting my little sister--who also plays it-- to shut up could be considered one of Hercules's labors! It's almost impossible to make it sound good, but it's easy to learn.

I play trombone and piano. I like to put together techno/rock kinda instrumentals using my synthesizer and a cheap microphone (my synth isn't MIDI). Man, it's nearly impossible to properly synchronize a 3 part song by yourself using MS sound recorder! grr

I like Oldphil's joke.    I'm a guitarist mainly. I also play around on the piano and latin percussional instruments like the congos, etc.... I used to play the harmonica, but haven't touched it for awhile. I sing with a range from barotone to second alto. I prefer low alto when I'm doing solos and performing with my guitar - it fits guitar music better.

I'm in marching band. Actually, I was in auxiliary (don't care if it's spelled wrong or not), but now I'm looking into playing the xylophone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! *hint hint* Especially since the only real music experience I've had was a chorus class in 6th grade, and my sister was taking piano years ago. All I really know from that is a sketchy knowledge of what each note is and some sharps and flats and whole notes and yada yada yada. So, if you have any useful info, I'm all ears! :?:

i play the piano and the guitar. used to play the guitar for the early morning service in church...lately been thinking of volunteering to play for college fellowship too. i also play the guitar when my mom and i go visiting the sick in their homes. i've also sung in three choirs when i was younger (last time was about six years ago or so).
