I was at the CD store a few days ago, and I noticed that their copies of the new Gorillaz CD, 'Demon Days', wasn't like all the others. It's now available in a limited edition version that comes with a DVD with an extra song called 'Swagger' (I think), several music videos and a making of Demon Days movie.
Now, normally I would think that this is pretty cool, but problem is, this CD's been out for around 2 or 3 months now, I think. I thought about buying it, but it just seems asinine to spend $23 on a cd that I already own. I also heard that the Killers have just done the same thing with 'Hot Fuss', including 3 or 4 more tracks than the previous version.
So, why wait months after a cd releases to make a limited edition version of the cd? It just kinda miffed me, that because I'm a loyal Gorillaz fan that decided to get the CD the day it came out, that I miss out on the cool DVD unless I want to fork out another 23 bucks.
Oh, well. My rant is over now.
