The hardcore scene is still thriving its' just now harder to distinguish a band like Norma Jean and Horse the Band to a group like Hawthorne Heights since so much saturation has occurred. And there are some bands that totally went away from hardcore like Hopesfall.

All is well and I like all the music I can get, although its' funny to see in just a matter of a year how popular UnderOath has become...wow. Their new album is suppose to be darker and heavier than their last one.
