REM is calling it quits

Postby rocklobster » Thu Nov 17, 2011 1:05 pm

REM, one of the landmark alternative bands of the 80's and 90's, has decided to retire. I'm saddened by this news. They had such a good run.
Here's just a few of their best songs, for those who missed out:
1. "Losing My Religion"
2. "Radio Song" (featuring KRS-One
3. "It's the End of the World as We Know It"[/url]
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. I appointed you to be a prophet of all nations."
--Jeremiah 1:5

Their most recent album came out last year, actually.

I also like "Man On the Moon".

Sad to hear they're retiring, but they did have a good run. :)
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"Since the creation of the Internet, the Earth's rotation has been fueled, primarily, by the collective spinning of English teachers in their graves."
