Whoa, you're fantastic!:wow!: I like the first one the best. And I love the way you drew the three seperate expressions on the angel wing one. You've really improved, hon.

Very cute! Nice movement/gesture on the 1st and 3d ones! Good start on the wings, too. PM me or email me if you still want a critique for wings.

I like how you did the eye on your profile.
You have a really good eye for color, also. But... you already know I think that.
It's amazing you're only 11-years-old. I think everyone else here might be surprised at your young age, and to draw and use prismacolors as well as you do I think is tremendous.
Of course, I could be biased.
Keep it up, sweetheart.

Hey, good job on the inking one! The only thing I'd suggest is maybe drawing the eye from a side profile next time. It's a tricky thing to do, but well worth the time it takes to learn to do it. Very good eye detail, though. What sort of pen did you use?
Excellent coloring job on the second! Prismacolors are awesome, no? You got the light source and the shading just right. Nice work!

! 11 years-old? Keep her drawing, chloe - you've got a severe case of talent on your hands.

Hey, that's a nice pen! (good Christmas gift ^^) Ever try a brush-tip? They're really good for larger-scale pics with more sweeping lines - such as hair and eyelashes. Keep the art coming (and would that be your thumb in the second pic?
)

Gypsy, what brush types are best? I bought chibi some Sakura pens my artist friend suggested. She thinks those are best. What do you use?

I'm submitting a couple of chibi_chan's pics. The chibi pics are from a birthday card she made me last month. It was really cute ^_^. The other is a pic she drew the other day with her pen. I really liked it, so I wanted to place it here.
*hehe* She's not looking.

How sneaky!
Excellent shading and highlighting. And the expressions are very vivid!

Your artist friend has good suggestions! 99% of the time, I use Sakura pens. (I use a Faber Castille (sp?) for the 1%) Never have I had any problem with them globbing, spilling, or scratching (as fountain pens tend to - nothing more heartbreaking than having a pen throw up all over your sketch that you worked so hard on ...
). And Sakuras are relatively inexpensive, last a long time, and not hard to find. I especially like their selection of fine-tipped ones. I don't know how they handle on different papers, though. I generally stick to one sort, and I've noticed next to no bleeding or tiny ink veins. It may be different for papers of different grains.

I can answer that. They are Prismacolors. I bought them for her brother two Christmases ago, but chibi uses them. ^_^ She wants Copics next, but I told her that won't happen until she's moved out and bought them for herself. *hehe*
Or... possibly some Christmas in the future if she does well in school.

Wow! Chibi_chan, you're already beyond my level of talent, so I can't offer much in the way of critique, but I will offer praise. Very cute pics, I like the liveliness and energy inherent in your characters. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more!

Hey, expression excercises are very, very good to do - and often. It's fun to make your characters in different emotions, isn't it?

this is my atempt to draw a guy
