Kenzo's Art

Postby Master Kenzo » Fri Aug 08, 2003 2:55 pm

Instead of actually *drawing*, I've gone into rendering. That's right. It's one of those words no one wants to touch. Take a look, all my renders were made in Bryce. 50 points to the person who can define rendering (who didn't know already)! Think Who's Line is it Anyway ... the points don't matter, but they're cool anyway.

Wait till I find them first...*looking* Okay, they're TIFF files, high quality, anti-aliased, 640x480 TIFF. 1.17 MB each. I hope that doesn't kill some of you >_<

NOTE: The REAL pictures - scroll down 2 posts, bit of technical difficulties.

Are the lines supposed to be links? I don't see a place to click...

BTW, I know what rendering is...he he, I used to do some of it. I used POV ray some, but I never got the hang of it. Oh, and I messed with Moray some. I'd like to play with Bryce sometime...LOL!

Pretty pretty! I like the tree, it's got a lot of depth to it. They are all very nice though...

Thanks - but I'm just a beginner with Bryce. Bryce has a "Tree Lab" that I have to get used to...sometimes the branches are seperated from the tree until the final render, it scares the heck out of me. Then these take forever to render.

The Tree Lab is the reason I bought Bryce 5 in the first place. I'm blown away with the realism.

Yay! A new image! This one is my first wallpaper, it's available in different resolutions here, so if you like it, let me know :D:D (you don't have to use the wallpaper, just let me know if you like it :D)

Hey! Nice stuff! I've never used any version of Bryce. The only one that I've played around with is Lightwave, but that's more for raw modeling.

I've heard of Lightwave, and I've yet to try it. I've tried POVray...*shudder*

POVray is stinking hard to do good work in without a powerful modeler to generate the scene description files, and yet it flourishes (either there's some inbuilt talent that I lack, or perhaps the fact it doesn't cost anything? ).

I have Ray Dream Designer 4 also (as well as Bryce 5), although it doesn't get along with OS X (have to reboot in Mac OS 9). I'm thinking about going for something with an even more realistic-looking lighting/specular model.
