Bible Trivia Contest

Postby Bebop101 » Wed May 12, 2004 10:49 am

Hey what’s going on people, this is Bebop101 (Angel Michael) I know you guys don’t really know me, but that’s the whole reason behind this. Well, I was told that I needed to post more often, so I decided to, but them I needed something to post about. As I thought, I think came up with a pretty good idea. I don’t know but hey, it’s worth a try, right. So here is the deal. I am one person that loves to read the Bible. Or at least keep up with my studies. I’m pretty fluent in Bible trivia (God has blessed me with a great teacher) and I often like to test my knowledge. I’m not saying that I know it all, because I for one know that I am far from that, but its just something I like to do, so here is the proposal. I challenge anyone on this site to give me a question concerning the Bible in any way, shape or form, that they thing I can not answer. If you would like to take this challenge up, or if you would like to have a friendly contest, you can either respond to this thread, or Privet message me with you question (or if you would like me to ask you one, that’s cool too.) and ill try to answer it within the day. I hope this works when it comes to helping me meet new people. Thanks a lot guys, ill be talking to ya!
God Bless

Think about this...When we sin, does Jesus still feel the pain he felt on the cross. When we turn our back on him, would he still hear his people yelling "crusify Him". When we don't obey him, does he still feel the nails go through his hands and feet. What if he could. Whats if he DOES. Do you really want to put Jesus, the Son of God who willingly came down to die for our sins, through all that pain again......? Just think about it.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Who was Boaz's great-grandmother? :eyebrow: Think hard, but don't sprain your brain. ;)
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I'm really bad at Bible Trivia, but I sure can answer Kaji's question. That would be 2 of each right, if I'm wrong for whatever reason--please feel free to knock me upside the head with a broom.

I'll make an attempt at one, how many children did Abraham have altogether ?

Hey man, this is Bebop101 (Angel Micheal) to answer your question, Abraham had 12 sons, one for each tribe on Israel. but we also know that God said that his seed would outnumber the stars. This is proved in Galatians 4, where we find that abrahams seed is all beleivers everywhere(those who have faith in Christ)

Man im good, lol... write back ok

12 sons!?! I think you're thinking of Jacob. Abraham only had Issac and Ishmael, as I recall...

Was just thinking the same thing, glad I read all the way down before replying.

As to the ark question, didn't God ask Noah to bring more of certain animals (birds, livestock, etc.) so that a sacrifice could be made without making certain species extinct?

I have a trivia question: what is the shortest verse in the bible?
Our lives are but a vapor, let us not let waste our time and breath on vanities, but let us spend ourselves for the Kingdom, seeking a better resurrection.

That one's easy: John 11:35 (KJV) Jesus wept.

Two words!

Very powerful words too, if I do say so myself.

EDIT: Got an answer for the Noah thingie too. 7 of every clean beast, and every fowl of the air, and 2 of every unclean beast (Gen. 7:2-3 KJV)

only gentile?... well..

Luke was greek, wasn't he?

Paul was a Roman citizen... (acts 22:28) ..but a Jew from the tribe of benjamin(Fil 3:5)

so I'll go with Luke...
