So I just found out that my nickname "Steeny" has a rather crass interpretation....but my other nickname "Steen" is another word for stone in another language......

Yep.

So, you guys have any interesting nicknames that you've looked up in the urban dictionary to find that they mean something else?

Meto is an acronym for the Middle East Trading Organization...
Its also a brand of price-label guns...
And its used in an inappropriate Spanish phrase. *looks away*

My other nickname that I use in general public is based off of my official name, but I hate both, and they don't really have a deep or funny alternative meaning. >>;

Well my chat nickname is Mewster T, which is apparently based on some celebrity's name.

My nickname on here is Zelly, but in general people just call me Laura... 'cause it's my real name. >_>

I've never wanted to search "Fu" on urban dictionary. xD; Not even capitalized. xD

As for my other nicknames, I think they're all fairly straightforward: they're either extensions of "Fu" (like Dozzy's "Fuzzles"), or variations of my real name.

people call me Jay cause my actual name is hard to pronounce

Well...to be honest, I'm not sure what my nickname even is. I've been called "Banana" "Nanalob" "BL" and "Blobster" in chat, so... And before you ask, yes, I have been called all of those. :XD:

No clue. I think it's just 'Atria'. And I'm totally cool with that - at some point, I might just go ahead and drop the '35'.

people just call me "Kosh" sometimes, which urban dictionary says is slang for "kosher". I've also been told that "kosh" is dangerously close to a slang term for marijuana o_o

Kitty-chan is obvious :P
but nobody's called me that in a while... :c

*Runs through and nicks everyone's names* XD

I usually get called 'MoI,' which is just my username in acronym form. ... Apparently in Britain it can refer to either the Ministry of Information or the Ministry of the Interior. ... Learn something new every day.

Sometime I get called 'Mo'i though, and that's french for 'me'.

Hey, this reminds me of my nicknames thread in my sig :D

Anyway, I like Ren the best, and lots of people tend to want to use Fu as my nickname when FllMtlNovelist isn't around, but I've also heard a few others, like Ure (fire) or furry (I don't get why, furen sounds nothing like that, but I guess it's how you read it)
and then Nomnom's (Nami's) nickname for me is Renren :P

"One-eyed Juan," thanks to an incident in my childhood involving a airsoft shotgun.

While I was in Japan my American team members called me "Rusty" because 3 other people had my name. I didn't have the Japanese call me that for linguistic reasons.

I usually get called Ace on CAA as a nickname.
Outside of CAA I have so many nicknames. It's like a sport for everyone else to nickname me when they get to know me which I'm fine with. :)

I think you guys call me CC on chat. And according to Urban Dictionary, it can mean: Crowd Control, Carbon Copy, cubic centimeters, Closed Captioning, etc.

I'm surprised Code Geass' C.C. wasn't mentioned on the first page.

IRL I get called Chris, since it's a shortened version of my full first name (and it's what I go by), or EuroTrash/ET, some people just call me by my last name though. Online I just go by Xeno.

You have to watch your back
jamessparrow (post: 1587766) wrote:thanks i love good nick names

What? You're supposed to say what people call you, for example:

I was called Doorbell by one of my youth groups when I said it during a guy's camping trip.

Online, I sometimes get "Ral", but IRL I don't have many nicknames, I mostly just get called Josh. However, I love giving people nicknames which rarely stick.

by Popyman
Online, Popy. Which, apparently has a pretty cool definition: Popy--A company spun-off of Bandai in 1972 specifically to exploit the emerging market for toys made from characters licensed from animated and live-action childrens shows. Neat! :D

In real life, I have only ever had the nickname Ty. Except for a brief period in elementary school when I had spikey hair, then I was Spike. =P

I have been called Sweetheart, Baby Doll, and Pretty Girl by my parents, Georgia Peach by my grandpa, Lemonhead and Isane by my best friend, Jacey (my favorite) by a random student, and Andi by my speech class and teacher.
