Creative made up names.

I think with the boy names and the girl names thread we need one of this.
Here's mine:
1. Ily/Ilyana/Ilyne/Ilyra
These names come from 'ily' a chatspeak term meaning 'I love You.' The last three are variations to make it sound more like a real name.
2. Xaera
Alternate spelling of Sara.
3. Qwerty
The first six letters of the American keyboard.
4. Lunaraine
Combination of 'luna' and 'rain' with an e on the end to make it more like a name.
5. Skyeren
A male name based on 'sky.'
You guys got any?

The only made-up name I can think of right now is Valeb, which isn't even mine. EllaEdric typo'd "Caleb", and I liked it so much I wrote it down. XD
And one time I named a character Trillium. That's a flower, though, so I'm not sure that counts.
Her sister's name was Silence. Not sure if that counts, either. >_>;
Typically I pick real names from other cultures/languages. I don't them make up very often.

lol. Looks like that took a few minutes.
I can come up with a few off hand:
Han Multi, Chewboclava, Luke Groundrunner, Darth Yidder, Smokie el Bear, ...
Oh, I'm sorry. More seriously... (??..)
Luke Galon, Kiee, Relielar, Verge (all in order I came up with them; I have more but I can't think of them atm). The latter two are for a story I'm writing.

I have a lot of made up names, but my favorite is Caienna Tiuren (hard c, not soft c).

Anyone mind if I steal a few of these? I'm a writer, but I'm terrible at coming up with names, and some of these are simply amazing.

My characters' made-up names of random awesomeness. Or weirdness. Whichever you prefer.
Rena, Sharr, Galvirion (he's also called Gav), Teritha, Lorena, Sorc, Manaii, Dinda, Farfaore, Naii, Erim, Manerikk, Corina, Thaeten, Menariella, Roecher, Ookari, Fa, Akatir, Attashé, Cadensu, Celita, Charissa, Delia, Jakira, Jehr, Lanarise, Reganó, Riganous, Willia, Wyron, Zamaria, Empyros, Gayle, Sanna, Asusa, Conflagrata, Novana, Morenya, Draconi, Leowa, Firen, and Aniroc.
That's all I can think of for now, but I probably have more. Any resemblance to real names/words is completely coincidential.
Also, please do not use these, since they're my characters' names and I would prefer it if no one else used them.

You can use mine. As for everyone else's, you will need their personal permission. You're welcome and God bless!

I understand! I normally stink at coming up with fake names like these, but I can make variations on real names, use words that wouldn't normally be names, bring back older names that sound right, and I want to learn to scramble words to make names as well! So try those ideas, Destroyer!

I also made up the name Raia a while back. At least, I didn't knowingly take it from anywhere.
Wallachia wrote:Nope.

If you didn't use them, why did you make up so many names? o.o?
Destroyer2000 (post: 1485021) wrote:Anyone mind if I steal a few of these? I'm a writer, but I'm terrible at coming up with names, and some of these are simply amazing.
Please don't take mine. I plan on using them in my own work.
If you're having a hard time with names, try baby name books or websites. Or, do what Mewster does.
Does anyone besides me
love the naming process? I mean, I get so much pleasure out of just looking at names, their sounds, their meanings, and matching them with characters. It's a lot of fun.

lol - sorry, your silly name reminded me of the Fifth Element, and then it was all over.
Seriously, though, I'm not really fond of 100% unique, nearly unpronounceable names. If they
are totally unique, they actually have to sound like someone could really be named that, in my opinion, unless the setting of the story calls for names like that. That's just me though.

Because there was no effort involved. In all honesty, the only names I've, "made up" are:
Rena Oliana (Actually Reyna, but I think that looks ugly now...)
Clyff Rune
Lira Reverse
Irene Inverse
Fried Chicken

Yeah.

@Destroyer:
It's just randomly throwing together consonant-vowel pairs and seeing what sounds pleasant. I could sit here all night and come up with random names, like Lodeii Marshekor, Vaadfir Salxe, or Bequer Nahorn. Or, you could do what my dad says it looks like George Lucas always does: taking normal words and replacing/switching around a few letters. e.g. Octopus Shrimp might become Actavus Shrimv ("o" replaced with "a" and "p" replaced with "v"). For a more Star War-sy example: Bubba Fat -> Boba Fett
