do any of you know if they allow you to cosplay as your original character at a-kon??? not to put it into a costest but to just wear the costume at the kon.

Of course! All cons allow costumes that aren't in a contest- it's a big part of the experience. You would have to double-check their rules to see if there are restrictions on props, etc, because of the venue, but otherwise there should be no issues.
