That's... a lot of sugar.

Ok, so, the other day at the store, there was this Asian guy. I think he might have been Japanese, but I'm not that good at accents. Anyway, he wanted sugar. I showed him what we had, an end cap of sugar and also it's home on the side counter.

Anyway, like an hour or two later, I see him again with his family and they have to heaping shopping carts of sugar. I think they bought half of what was on the shelf. (And people keep complaining that we're understocked... No, people just buy too much... XD) I think they also had ten pounds of broccoli.

So like, is there a holiday or something that I don't know about? That was... a lot of sugar.

The joke's on them. That stuff is totally going to clog their drains when they take their sugar bath.

Shichigosan is a week from Sunday, but I know of no particular connection to sweets. It's just a day to take little boys and girls to the shrine for a blessing. That's all I can think of.

It's more than likely for their business. Probably operating in food business. Sometimes it's infeasible to get certain products from wholesalers.

Yeah... It's just, they bought all the small bags. Not the economical 50 pounders XD (Or however big the big ones are.)

Ooh! Ooh! I know! He bought the small bags because they're easier to smuggle, and he's planning a terrorist sweetening of the local diabetics convention!

My dad says that eating too much sugar causes worms.
I say that the people at the Japanese stores were thinking the same thing about me buying four packs of bontan ame at the same time.

Maybe they were part of a group that was having a big dinner and they were sent on a supply run. When my church has fund raisers with lunches, we occasionally run to the store to buy massive amounts of stuff.

My vote is with the food business theory. Or they might be trying a recipe for broccoli candy.

BUZZED ON GREENS!!! Give me some more of that celery momma! Dip it in chocolate first before you do!

Now THERE'S a good way to get kids to eat their vegetables again. Gives a whole new meaning to a "balanced diet".

I agree. When my grandma sends me to buy groceries for her business( it's a retirement center) there are times she has me go To food 4less instead of the wholesale places becaus the prices sometimes are cheaper. Whenever I buy milk or bread, I have to buy about 30 cartons of milk. People give me looks or I can see them whispering to each other about my cart full of milk and bread.

The healthy vegetables cancel out the unhealthy chocolate, right? So it's almost like eating nothing!

Wow, that is alot of sugar. But yeah maybe they own a business like a bakery or something. I know that they must need alot of sugar for baking sweets.

CephasWhite I like the poem in your signature.
