CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Well Neko Con is this weekend starting Friday Nov 6 to Sunday Nov 8.
I will have to travel tomorrow to be there to there to be part of Attendee Management Services sort of security and medical which I have done for many years since I attend the second con which was my first time there.
It will be in the Hampton, Va Convention Center for the forth year.
This year the theme of the con is Western so I expect to see many attendees maybe wearing cowboy hats and a few other type items with their costumes.
I am dressing as a western ranger. Vest, hat and guns.
I think CAA should have a anime or any con regular thread to go to for post of them for anyone attending one.

I hope a few of the other CAA members are going too.

Hi All
Well I got back Monday afternoon and spent time getting things unpacked before having to run out the door again for a fire dept meeting.
Got to Hampton Va around 5 PM after some stops for my paycheck and to pickup my friend and one stop halfway there for a rest. Using GPS can sometimes be funny when it sends you places to make it faster to get somewhere.
After getting into the motel we had to go to the convention center to see if there was any work to do but ending up getting our pass badges for our departments and then to go eat and back to the center for any help with pre reg then back to the motel for some sleep before Friday morning.
I cosplayed has a western ranger for the show while working on Attendee Management Services so as to bend in but I think I stood out because most attendees cosplayed as most anime chacters even thou the theme was western for the show. Only a few dressed in western outfits.
On posting pictures I have to work on it because I have never really done it but the Neko Con site does have people who post their pictures on the site for everyone to see including all the events during the show.
I spent most of the time watching the attendees and checking things that I only got a few pictures.
One thing was being a watcher to keep attendees off the stage at the concert so I was between them and the stage right under the band and the speakers. Took a while for my hearing to get back to normal.
After the con closed we had to help the dealers get packed and get con equipment packed up to go to storage for next year.
Then go back to the motel to get cleaned up to go to dinner as a group for the con as a payment for all the work that the con workers and the guest did for the con.
Monday morning packed up and headed home.

I think it would be AWESOME if CAA had some rep's at the cons. To encourage other's to attend the site. That would be sooooo cool. ^^

I guess we were lucky we had the con last week because this week Hampton VA and areas surrounding the city have flooding and power outages due to the noreaster that sat off the East Coast.

Right now everyone is waiting for the theme for next years show.
This was number 12 and it was "The Good, The Bad and The Neko" as a western theme which introduced three new mascots Miyoko,Akiko and Takeo to be with a long time mascot cat girl Reiko.
Now we what do we do for number 13? Everyone on the forums have ideas but its up to the chair people of Neko of what thet will be.
