Scared as in shocked or scared as in truly frightens me? I guess any old shocker could get a quick yelp out of me, I don't try to hold back being zapped by being caught off guard or anything, but I'm more frightened of other things. For instance, I have a horrible fear of severe stomach pain and NG tubes, to be honest, I'm fully willing to die then go through that again (apologies all, but ONCE was enough ^_^), that's probobly my greatest fear and was the only time that, after it failed on the first attempt, that I begged someone (the poor nurse) to end my life instead. I don't think I'll ever be the same after that. I suppose you can understand then, why I have a fear of that. Even in the latest episode of FMA on the funimation page, when Gluttony feels sick to his stomach I want to look away in empathy for him.

I also have fear of physical pain from air-pressure differences and consequently of landing and taking off in an air-plane. I got a lot of pain from that once with my teeth bleeding on me.

Also, if something I'm watch or see comes off to me as demonic, I tend to have my stomach role over on me AND I get afraid of it, which I suppose is healthy to have :P. I have a strong aversion against real demons.

Essentially anything that can truly cause psychological or physiological pain that I can't stop with sufficient determination, that is what scares me.

x.x

...Chickens...Well, birds in general, but chickens take the cake. I can't stand being around them. Once, when I was about three, I had no problem petting the fawn that was taller than me, but I wouldn't go close to the chicks. Those things are scary.

And after a severe blow to a certain area, the thought of taking any hit there really scares me.

I dunno, not much... I can get frightened, like, someone jumping out and shouting, but I don't have a whole lot of fears.

That chapter 101 of FMA will never come. D8

Actually, I'm terrified of any type of needles, loud, sharp noises, or large dogs (bad experiences).

Oh, I forgot to mention my Granddad's dog. In fifth grade, the thing trapped me in a hallway barking and was about to rip of my face. Made all the while worse by the fact that they told me he just wanted to be petted. The thing still tries to eat me, but at least I'm larger now.

The Pit of Despair.

Also, I'm not too fond of people being injured. I did suffer from haemophobia for a time, which made things worse, though now I just dislike seeing people in (medium to large) amounts of pain.

I'd say that the prospect of dying without having achieved something really worthwhile is a scary one.

Kierkegaardian despair?

if so, then I agree.

Knowing also scares me. Growing knowledge, especially in philosophy. Because the more you know, the more you don't know. Ignorance is truly a bliss.

I have a friend of mine at school who came here to get a degree to become a pastor. Then he took some of the religion classes which absolutely tore down his usual Conservative/Evangelical Christianity. Then he began reading things like Moltmonn, then Marcus Borg, then Dominic Crossan...

Then he started reading all this stuff by atheists.

So now he's an atheist whom many of the religion faculty can't even convince otherwise. He's a freakin' genius.

That... kinda scares me. No other decision effects your life more than if you believe in God or not.

I guess that's why Kierkegaard is so appealing to me. Believe in God despite all rationality? Could be total feeling-based, but... hey. If all rationality points towards non-theism, I can still be a Christian.

What. Are you serious.

Sharp objects/needles, basically. And hydrofluoric acid, as well as a suite of other uncommon chemicals that can do horrible things to you. And the use of nuclear weaponry, and extinction-level bolide impacts. And blood/pain, which all of the above causes.

When you have been on a death bed a few times in your life, you just don't scare of anything.

Just make the best of every day and live ever day like its your last and enjoy it.

Perhaps you just haven't found something to be scared with? =p

Granted if you subscribe to it, if you know God then there ought to not be any fear... except to God, of course. XD

Fear is fear. XD Sometimes I go get that fear from God. Not only a respectful type of fear, but the other and more common kind. XD

Well what scares me (for real)

For a while I had a strong fear of dying... like getting sick and stuff... I still deal with that, but I was put on this anti-anxiety medicine and its really helping me give all my fears to God.

I'm also afraid of hurting others, and stuff like that. ._.

I'm not scared of much rly. I've come to like spiders, I just ignore needles, etc, etc. But if there's one thing I'm afraid of it would be rejection by people close to me. :\ S'prolly why I try not to get close to people in the first place.

You have no idea how serious I am.* B[

I have recalled another fear of mine. Misunderstanding how people close to me feel.

[SIZE="1"]*Of course, one important thing to note is that when someone puts a smiley after something that is supposedly serious, it's usually not as serious as we all think it is.

ROFL.

I think my greatest fears are dieing in a fire, lightening storms (in my current location), witchcraft, swimming or touching things in murky water, sharks (directly relates to the one before), not being able to protect the ones I love, being sick in public, losing my faith, completely loving, trusting or depending on another human, letting people I like down and......calling people on or answering the phone. Yeah that's a random one but just the thought makes me want to cry.

Moose.

I have a fear of moose.
One time I was skiing, and I went of this jump and kind of bailed. I was completely alone and I saw a moose in the woods. I then had a fantasy where the moose came and attacked me, and almost killed me and I had to spend many months in the hospital, and when I went back to school I would have anxiety attacks whenever anyone said "moose". And then, I would go over to my friends house, and a moose would break through her front window to get to me and would trample me to death, and they would be everywhere. Then the moose would call out to all the other moose of the world and they would all come find me... and kill me.

Of course, none of this has happened. Yet. I've got one of those feelings.

In all seriousness though.
That and the letter "Q". It makes me uneasy... it...ugh. ah. m.
