Out of curiosity, how many of you are over 20 and still live at your parent's house?

Errr, what about exactly 20 and freeloading while attending college?

I'm MOSTLY on my own. I moved out when I turned eighteen and have been fully supporting myself since. But I got a new job in the past few months, and instead of driving two hours a day, it's easier to visit my parents a couple of nights a week since they're only 15 minutes away from it. But I still pay my bills and have my own apartment.

Yeah, because I'm attending a local community college, so it's easier to live here. I buy my own food and stuff though, so it's not like I'm freeloading. And I'm only gonna be here until I transfer over to a regular college (which will be in the fall).

I left home for the U.S. when I was 20 and have been living on my own eversince.

Assuming I return home around mid-2006, I will most likely live with my parents temporarily until I find a job again. ^^

I am 19 and I thought I would be away at college right now, but that did not work out at all so I'm living with my parents until I have enough money for an apartment (which will take a loooong time with inflation in my area.)

I take exactly 20 to be >20, because I was exactly 20 on my 20th birthday, but now probably 20.25. Hence in the over 20 category.

I am getting close to twenty, but I am still living with parents. Hopefully when I move out after college, I can pay them back for the four years I've freeloaded. :)

26, and I've been living on my own since I was 18. I got a job at Wal-Mart and moved into my own apartment the summer I graduated from high school. I worked part-time at Wal-Mart during my first two years of college, and then bounced between jobs (some good paying, some not so good, the current one minimum wage) ever since while trying to complete a four-year degree that would get me a job.

Still haven't managed that last bit, but I'm working part-time for minimum wage and keeping house while my husband works full time plus some. It's not the best life, but I'm not living under my parents' rules either.

I'm 19 and attending college 8 hours away, but when I come home, I live with my parents. Since school takes up so much time and I have at least 60 hours of homework a week, a real job is out of the question (I do have work-study though, for $200-300 a month). So my parents help out some. XD

Almost exactly a year ago I moved to Kentucky from Missouri to attend college, and after successfully completing several classes I returned to Missouri. I'm currently living with my parents while I take care of the debts I've accumulated throughout the year. Once I save up some more funds again, I plan to find another apartment, return to college, and finish getting my degree.

I'm over 20 and still at home. However, my brother is married and lives next door!! You could call us an old fashioned family since back in America's pioneer days the kids didn't nessecarily move away from the farm. Still, we certainly don't have a farm, unless it's a funny farm...

I have corrected the poll accordingly. Since I am here, I may as well point out that I fall under the fourth option.

Option #1 for me. We all, (Dad, Mom, Brother & me) live & work together. Grandma's lives w/ us to, (she's the self proclaimed "boss") Ah well. I guess we're like those old fashioned families who stick together through thick & thin.

I wish there were more families like us. Feels kinda odd having to re-explain it all the time to people in this day & age. Though that probably makes us so "special" & "unique".
