I am a beliver of love for all creatures, even the damned ones.
if the devil repented of all his doings, will he be accepted by GOD?
I'm just wondering about if GOD's love transcends even to the bowels of hell will the devil accept that love?
just wondering...

That is a very interesting question. I'm not sure but I think that if God did extend His love to the very heart of hades, that satan would turn him down because of his extream pride.(which is what put him in the place he is in now)

Well, not now. When Lucifer and the fallen angels were cast down from heaven it was over. Just like humans must decide in life... when you are before the judgement seat of God its too late.
anywho, there was a disscussion on this subject sometime back. i think in the "antichrist thread."
Who is the antichrist.
read thru that and it should give you plenty of stuff to think about.

well yeah sure if it was sincere and all i guess but you read the bible and all its pretty much obvious it wont happen he'll hold out to the end and take as many as he can down to the depths of hell with him.

Prophecy in Scripture says that he will never repent. (His pride factor is too high for that.)

It isn't that he can or can't, it's that he won't and God has turned his back on him.

I say it was pride at first, but the chance is over. there is no longer the opportunity its not like satan or the demons think they have a shot at "winning" they are just trying to delay it and take as many with them as they can.
The chance to win was lost with Christ's death and resurrection.

Well, God's love is not the same for angels and other creatures as it is for human beings. But, yeah, he probably could have repented, but he won't.
Hmm... Actually, he will "repent" in a matter of speaking. He'll, along with every human bound for hell, admit that Jesus is LORD but that will be a dollar short, a day late...

This has come up before. The general consensus amongst theologians is that he can't. The general idea is the same as humans after death; like fallen angels, they are confirmed in their natures. The people who've best discussed this are St. Anselm of Cantebury and St. Thomas Aquinas. They aren't the originators of this line of thinking, but are the ones who've best developed it. I'd probably recommend Jeffery Burton Russell's discussions on the matter since he is more accessible (see his book "Lucifer", which discusses medievel thinking on the nature of the devil)

that's what i would say
God's love would even reach him
but, as we know, Satan wouldn't
take it

We all seem to be saying the same things over and over, and as cited on the first page, it's already been discussed extensively. I don't see a reason to keep this thread open; kinda moot really.
