WHat if....

Talk about anything in here.

WHat if....

Postby Griffin » Fri Nov 05, 2004 6:52 pm

What if the only man who really loved you is someone you hurt repeatedly, for no reason other than you were too young to see through your own needs to the future?

WHat if you wanted him back with all of your heart and now the one person you need is soooo far away?

I had someone who loved me. He loved me more than I could ever have imagined until I hurt him and left him. Now I need him more than ever and I am too scared to even talk to him.

What would you do?

I'd pray really hard. After that, I'd tell him just what you said there. That you were young, naive, and you didn't even know what was best for you. Then, I'd apologize from the bottom of my toes. I'd tell him that I was so sorry for hurting him, and I'd ask him if he could find it in his heart to forgive me. And then I'd have to leave it at that.

Some wounds can't just be "I'm sorry"-ied away. If that's the case, you may have to wait out the pain, and pray that God will give him the strength to forgive. Sadly, there is no fool-proof 4 step method to healing. . . *sigh* Sorry. . .

I don't know the specifics of your situation, so I have NO idea how relevent my advice is, but I'll pray that you'll have the discernment to act in the right way and to say the right words. This must be super tough, and, as I said, I'm REALLY sorry.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I've been thinking since we talked last night... and I hope this doesn't be harsh, but it seems like you depending on this guy more then you are God. Have faith that God will provide for you, ask God to give you peace and comfort, He will provide all that you need. You gotta put God first, then maybe look into a boyfriend, but just remeber, if it doesn't happen thats because of God's will, and God will help you though that.

Vyse: I am talking to God, and our relationship is great.

I also need humans to 'love me', too. I know it sounds weird, and it is really hard to explain. You have God, but he gave you this need to erm....find the person he made for you. That kind of thing.

I know that but... you can't rely on a guy to make things better... you gotta relly totally on God for that, for He's the only one that will NEVER leave you or forsake you.

Yup. It's sort of like if it's meant to be and you talk to him and all goes well, then it was meant to be. But, if somethign happens... he might not be...

I've been there a few times where I thought I found the perfect one. He liked me, I liked him, but then... something happened. Well, that is to say nothing happened. I kept finding others thinking "well, who knows" but none were it either... You might be surprised and there could be an even better guy or something *shrugs*

But, you can always do what I do and think of every possibly outcome that might happen if you do or don't talk to the guy. Then you won't be overly optimistic over the whole situation. Of course, every time I tried thinking or what might happen, the one thing I never would've thought of, would happen!

But you'll never know until you try... this sort of reminds me of the movie 13 Going On 30 in a sense^^ To grow up and see what happened if you went down the other path of not talking...

Ok, I have to step in here. I didn't even realize you had posted this, Lioness. Since I know both you and Rene, all I can say is take Mangafanatic's advice, and if you need someone to talk to, please AIM me.

I'll try to talk to Rene also, if you'd like. I'll pm you my AIM name and YIM username and we can talk if you would like to.

But honestly, Mangafanatic actually gave you the best advice. Please, just go and talk to Rene. If God opens the door and he accepts the apology then you know he is the man God has chosen for you, if not than feel blessed, because God has closed the door on one you were not meant to be with. I can give you story after story of all the guys God closed the door on before I met my husband - wonderful Christian guys too - so He really does have His best for you.

And, I don't doubt your Christian walk at all, because I have spoken to you in the past and know that you are just a young lady hurting and struggling, like so many people do. Every one of us struggle in life. But, our God is a God of blessings and goodness, so I will pray for you, DJ.

You take care and I'll talk to you later, Lord willing.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

First off I care about you and I know everyone out there does.
Everyone goes through hard times w/ the feelings of loneliness; me included. But after after searching for myself, I found there were people out there who do care. Even though I didn't realize it there were; family members, friends and everyone at CAA. Though I still struggle w/ these feelings from time to time I know there are people who really do care. Even for you.

Lioness...don't search. If God is willing that you have a loving relationship with a man, then it will happen.

Talk to him. Be courageous...you're a lioness. ;)

Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall

Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!
