how often do you curse?

Talk about anything in here.

I view cussing as a dialectical issue rather than a moral one. That being said, I try not to do it too incredibly much because I recognize that in the eyes of many people it reflects badly on my character, whether I like or agree with that attitude or not.

Sorry I went a little off-topic, but do you guys agree with this kid and this video? He made the no cussing club:

I don't agree with this kid, if we can't hang around with people who cuss it will be VERY hard to spread the gospel, or just have a social life at all. This video just gives off that holier-than-thou feeling in my opinion.
Game on!

See, the problem with being hypersensitive about cussing is that when you get a job out in the real world, you have real coworkers.

When I got my first job working fast food back in high school, I didn't last two weeks, partially because my boss was a total jerkface, and partially because I heard more cussing in those two weeks than I'd heard in 16 years of my life. I just couldn't handle it.

Lies, Carlin is never not appropriate.

Since no one here censors the word "fool" or thinks movies should be rated R for having that word in it, then I think it's pretty clear that it's the intent, not the word, that's the problem.

Which is why it doesn't matter what type of language you use. If you use the word "poopy head" in anger and malice, it's as bad as calling them a s***head. So using "substitute" curse words is just as bad as using the regular ones. So why not just use the regular ones? It's what they're there for. And since we also know that intent is what matters (and not the word itself) there's no problem if I say something is f-ing awesome. Because there's no bad intent!

Because, as with any language and culture, some words are considered rude. Conforming to polite society is okay to some degree. But I do agree, poop and s*** mean the same exact thing. I think people get really offended over the F word because of it other common meaning...
