Also on our campus there is this rock you can spray paint so my hockey girls and I (we aren't bitter, I promise) spray painted "Boycott Valentine's Day" on it with Feb. 14th x'ed out and a broken heart. It was funny! Heehee;)

Your sig is romantic enough so I guess you aren't bitter. Except isn't that a little counter-productive for your hockey team? How are you gonna score free candy, flowers, and presents if you boycott Valentine's Day.

Also, who is this St. Valentine anyway. Is he as misrepresented as St. Patrick? If anyone knows post it I want to know.

Valentines day isn't fun for me. I'm not saying that because I'm an ugly outcast, I have in fact had several girls ask me out, but I said no every time. It's just........Valentines day isn't fun.

Turned a few girls down in my time too. It kinda freaks me out when they make the first move. Maybe a few years down the road it will be fun for you.

Go for it. I don't know it, so even if you make up something I won't know the difference. :P

I won't be able to meet my boyfriend coz we're both too caught up with our own work. We're "long distance", ok ok so Chicago and Lansing isn't that far but we don't have sentimental feelings for V day. At the moment, I miss him greatly and what I'll be doing on V-day is accompanying my single friends and pampering them. Especially those who really feel bog down about being alone on the V-day. I might as well pay attention to them since I don't have my potential future husband around. It may be a bit selfish since I'm feeling lonely myself though... :red:

Well, he's almost 9 years older than I, for starters .

He's kind, understanding, caring, selfless, brilliant, financially and emotionally stable, all that good stuff. My mom said to him, "I couldn't ask for a better son-in-law."

Anything specific that you want to know?

Nothing wrong with that; my dad is almost 9 years older than my mom, except that she was 18 when they married.

Don't you think Valentines is only an excuse for you to be with somebody? If you really like that somebody, you won't need excuses. Think about it.

We met through work.

We've dated for almost 3 years (geez...) :wow!:

After we get married? I'll move into his house, probably. I love him! :jump:

Well, Valetine's Day is my birthday. I'm just going to have a very small party with a few friends in the afternoon and then I'm going to spend the rest of the day with my family.

Okay, I think I finally figured out what we're going to do. My gf and I are going out for breakfast and Starbucks afterwards, then at night we're going to watch a movie and eat dessert. Something along those lines. It's going to be really crowded in the restaurants, so that's why we're going to do breakfast (and because it's great food) and I also am very near broke and won't get paid until the end of the month. Wow. I really need to conserve. Well, that's just to let you know - those who wanted to... *shrugs, then walks out of the thread door*
