MIA: Wisdom teeth and long airflights...both are annoying

Postby Mave » Fri Dec 19, 2003 10:05 pm

Dear all,

I've just traveled back to my home country, Malaysia for my Christmas vacation. While it's exciting to be home, much has happened.

It took me 2 long days to get home. Total airflight was ~ 25-26 hrs excluding overnight stay in Newark Airport. Then, I experienced fatigue/air sickness at the same time. Bad combo. Yours truly ended up groaning and barfing in the washroom the whole flight. >_< I don't like flying, now you know why. ^^;

I'm getting rid of all my wisdom teeth. Reason 1#: Two gum inflammations (teeth doesn't break through gum properly) with migraines that come complimentary with it....2# Way too expensive to do it in U.S. 3# The wisdom teeth have been pushing the rest out of position!!! My teeth arrangement doesn't look as good anymore...waaahhhh I don't wanna wear braces!

Just had my dental surgery 2 hours ago (I discovered how my bottom wisdom tooth on my right jaw grew at a weird angle....it's like 45 degrees pushing on my other good teeth!) Eeeeeeeeuuuuu!!!! The worst part was actually the anaesthatic part, the dentist has this big syringe and poked everywhere about 10 times....OOOWWWW Then, she had to dissect the wisdom tooth using drills...0.o I was praying so hard that it would not hurt during the operation. God is good, it didn't hurt and it was a quick and clean 'surgery'. ^^

Anyway, the point of this post was to say that I'll be away for a while...need to recover and also, my country's voltage is lower than U.S (120V?). So I can't switch on my laptop to work on any art works or update my homepage. I'm currently using my parents' computer which is ANCIENT. I might be more active 1 or 2 weeks later. ^^ Alright, until then ppl, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Man that sucks. The teeth and not only that, but it sounds like you flew United Airlines. Well, see you later (on a more regular basis) and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in Malaysia.

I know your pain! Got mine taken out not too long ago as well...although I had conscious sedation (an IV rather than poking around in my mouth). Don't worry, you'll feel much better soon.

It's too bad that you had some many bad experiences, but I am glad that you are home and wisdom tooth free now.

Merry Christmas! :)
