I almost want to laugh from the irony...

Here's my short story:

So I bought the limited edition Di Gi Charat TV series, that came with many fun goodies^^ But when it came to sending away for the free t-shirt, my worst nightmare came true >_<

I really was looking forward to wearing the free t-shirt in a size SMALL (or was it extra small? Was a few months ago when I sent it away and JUST received it, so I forget now). I sat there thinking "heh, it would be almost funny if they send it in a size extra large, knowing that they somehow like selling otaku clothing in abundance in that size" (it's sad but true. Ok, well maybe not for girl's clothes, but the guy's ALWAYS seem to come in a large and well, these t-shirts were in guys sizes as well). So what happens? Not only did it take 3 months to deliver a couple states and a providence straight up, and not only did they spell my last name wrong (meh what else is new there? Not many mail-people seem to spell it right and it's not that hard >_< It's written how it sounds/looks, like Japanese!) well here comes the real irony... they DID send me the size EXTRA LARGE!!! ...I tried it on anyways to see if maybe I can at least SLEEP in it and use it as an oversized shirt to do that... it's way to big for even that!

...grrr!!! >_< Sometimes, I think the world just isn't big enough for smaller sizes for me (maybe if I stated "yeah I'm one of those smaller girls" they would've listened) >_< Well, I did what many would do: wrote a complaint. Had to try and cut back the sarcasm as much as I could, because, well face it, EXTRA LARGE?! *sigh*

...*rant is complete*

Send it back with a complaint.
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

Bummer. I really hate those 'one size fits nobody shirts.' When my high school band marched at Disneyworld, they gave us free shirts... in double extra large. :shady: Which, since I wear medium or small normally, is impossible to wear. *sigh* XDXD

Well you see, when you get something for free and it's a mix-up or whatever, it's kinda not a fun thing when you have to PAY for packaging, just to send it back :/ Unless that "return to sender" thing works, either way I doubt they'd find a letter inside or whatever. Plus that'll take another few months etc etc... meh emailing is much more efficient^^ Helped when I ordered DVDs and they were WAY past expected time. Free fast shipping. Yeah... sometimes you can get fun goodies too if ya complain^^

:/ oh fun... you get a special shirt, but it doesn't even fit! Did they actually think that you would all fit that size, or just ran out of the good ones and gave out the leftovers? :/ sad, really.

Reminds me also of when I went to this concert... I had my heart set on getting this one t-shirt, and din't find out until later that they ONLY made it as a large! Gah! They DID have smalls in this really ugly shirt though :/ But I didn't want a shirt of a spider attacking a gorilla with blood on it's fangs :/ Now that I think about it, guess that whole shirt deal came back to haunt me again v_v

It would have been fine if they had run out or something, but EVERYONE got 2XL... like your shirt fiasco, they were only made in that size. *mutters*

*pats on back* Yeha, I can relate... I'm still especially mad about that concert shirt because it was a sort of keepsake too that I was trying for :/

I find it best not to complain about free stuff... at least not to the sender. Destroy them instead and take over the world. But yeah, that sucks.

I actually wish I could find an overly large t-shirt, but alas, I'm stuck in Adult X-L...

When my high school band marched at Disneyworld, they gave us free shirts... in double extra large.

Oh? When do you march?

Myoti wrote:Oh? When do you march?

Two years ago. We marched December 27, 2003 at Disneyworld and then the 28th at Universal Studios. (with the exception of maybe 20 people, we stank it up, but that's a story for another day. XD)

And yea for shirt tents. Though, the Disney rep who gave us the shirts was rather apologetic, so that somewhat made up for it.

If the shirt is cotton, run it through the dryer once or twice, it might shrink at least a bit. And if you have any friends or family handy with a sewing machine, they might be able to alter it if you're desperate.

I would like to know who invented 'one size fits all (nobody).' My stick and I would like to have a chat with them...
jk.

my best friend is one of those really really tiny girls. we're talking... she wears size extra small in those baby doll style tee-shirts. she enjoys wearing really big shirts just for fun. when we graduated we got our choice of sizes for our grad tee-shirts. what does she pick? XXXL. and yes, she totally wears it in public...

:/ Oy... my grad t-shirt even in a SMALL was pretty big... *sigh* I know it would be more expensive, but it WOULD be nice to make shirts in a girl's line of sizes instead of always guys, too! I dislike the wide, unfitted sleaves :/ ...well as for you're friend, she'd prob would still pick guys ;)

Something I found for souvineer shirts at places like Disneyworld, if you wear women's small/medium, you can also wear children's x-large, and the shirts are cheaper and better fitted than men's small. XD

And ChristianRonin, the pillow idea is very cute.
