Eheh...when I was little I went fishing with my family. My brother's line had a lot of slack, so the lure was touching the ground, bouncing along behind him as he walked. In my young stupidity I picked the lure up--and was promptly sliced by the hook as it was suddenly jerked out of my hand. At least it didn't get stuck in my finger...!

I was 9 and a horse got away and I knew dont go behind the hourse so a went to grab its lead rope from the side and it kicked me sideways whats up with that had an awsome cut down my face itwould of made an awsome scar but it healed up fine.

I stapled myself in the arm once while playng with a stapler I slipped and catchink.

I also busted my lip open on a bed post I was jumping on my dads bed watching cartoons and jumped sideways and hit the round nobe on the foot bourd this thing was 6 inch diameter sphere Blood everywere 10 pm christmas eve went to the hospital and got 8 stitches.

^^ stupidity injuries? pshaw - i never get those... more often than once or twice a week... lol

i swear paper has some kind of vendetta against me... i get more and bigger papercuts than anyone else i know.

in middle school i put a small scar on my finger while flailing around as i talked on the school bus, and flailing too close to the girl in the seat in front of me, and snagging my finger on her braces... >< ow and ew.

last summer i opened the backdoor of my house... right into my face... which hurt even more since all the doors in our house are solid wood. (and even though it's not an injury... i once shut that same door with my foot, and aimed to high, breaking the lowest window pane in the process... boy i felt dumb... ^^)

my frequent architecture injuries are all from stupidity, mostly not keeping my finger out of the way of the x-acto ... or not exercising caution around the sharp side of the x-acto blade ... or cutting foam core with scissors and getting my finger as well...

*edit* boy this thread is no spring chicken... who dug it up? lol

It's so good to know I'm not alone. ^_^
Hmmm.... stupid injury no.1: does everyone know what a monorail is? No, not the weird train that goes around cities on a rail... its this handle that runs along underneath this huge long metal plank thing with platforms at either end so that little kids can get on and off. At either end of the long metal thing that the handle runs underneath, two bars stick out horizontally at right angles and connect to big vertical posts. Anyway, on the two bars that stick out at right angles, I was swinging backwards and forwards. When I swung back into a straight up-and-down position, I would lift my hands off the bar for a moment and then grab onto it again. This was fine until I let go while parallel with the ground. I fell down and broke my wrist. And then I went to the hospital in a my brother's first car (which was a cheap one, of course), which juddered up and down the whole way. ^_^
#2: I went out to feed the chickens. Opened the cage door to see if the chickens were inside/check for eggs or something. One of the chickens was sitting on one of the beams going across the roof. With a 'bukawk!' like the sound of thunder, it threw itself at me, and its foot clawed me on the side of the face. I have a really faint scar from where it went from my eyebrow, down past the corner of one eye to one third of the way down my cheek. Luckily its only really tiny, since scars really aren't all that cool for girls. ^_^" It was kind of embarrassing wearing a chicken scratch for a week tho.
#3: our floor had just been tiled, including three small stairs in our hallway. I was running up these, as usual, but the gold bits running along the edge of each step hadn't been filed down correctly. So, as my foot landed it scraped underneath my big toe, raising a chunk of flesh. The guy came back and filed down the thing that went across the edge of the steps.
#4 I went running up the same steps. The big toe of my other foot got wasted.
#5 I was at an ice skating rink. There was a bare foot ice race. I entered. When I was just stepping off the ice I just looked down and there were 1cm diameter spots of blood where I'd been walking. In other words, running across the rough ice had caused my second wasted toe to bleed.

I turned the pool heater off, and while doing so I burnt my hand on the heater.

So I jumped in the pool and put it out.

I have seen many reasons for stupid injuries just riding on the ambulance for 20 some years.
I am not with out saying that I have not done my share of doing injury to myself.
Got a call for a injuried soccer player at a local park. Pull the ambulance on to the field looking at the patient getting out of the driver door slam the door on my fingers. Lucky all I did was just make them hurt for a while and embarrass myself in front of the crowd. :hits_self

Well, there was this one time when I was like 9, I jumped off the wall(that would soone be my brother's room) onto my trampoline. I bounced back into the wall, and that really knocked the wind out of me. But, God was looking over me. I was okay.

Another time, I was using a hoe to dig up some roots, but I was barefoot, so I split my foot.

Then there was that time I used my belt as a rope and hung from a part of the jungle gym. I fell and broke my collar bone. I was 5, so cut me some slack...

Last year, all I had to do was stand in the way of a guy going for a frisbee, and I twisted my knee and tore my ACL. Stupid guy ran into me!!!!

Then there was last night...just kidding!

I cut my head open on a marble table when I was six years old. I was just crawling around under it and then jerked up really quick. I was hollering, screaming, and blood was all over my head. Fifteen some odd stitches later...:P

Last summer our big extended family rented this house out by Sandusky Ohio on a lake. I was acting like an idiot and was running up on the slick rocks because we had just gotten there. There was algie all over those rocks so I slipped on my bootaaay and fell right into the lake. Man...I was sore for the rest of the week.:eyeroll:
