Wow, I actually like this illusion! Why? Because I actually got it right. I looked at that and thought, hmm, I bet the shading over the white makes it the same color. I just want to think it's white because I know it's theoretically SUPPOSED to be white.

I feel smart now. ^^

I got it by covering the cylinder and looking right in between a and b. It took a while for my eyes to actually see it though.

Go into MS paint... and use the eye droper tool

select the eye droper, and left click on Square A
select the eye droper again and right click on Square B

in the lower left hand corner of the paint window it shows the colors the eye drop selected, they're the same.

got here late, but i actually see it. I thought the shadow may have had something to do w/ it. Good thing I had about 20other people test it first :P. Really nice effect.
