The IM looked VERY official, basically telling me that my name showed up on a list of illegal music downloaders and that I am facing legal action for illegally downloading material from the Internet.
LOL, thing is, I never, ever downloaded music from the Internet aside from some completely legal MIDIs from a few fansites and a copy of "The Real Folk Blues" that a friend who has the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack posted on his site for me-which I deleted as soon as I had listened to it.
Nevertheless, the thought of getting sued was so scary that I was basically almost whimpering. I was saying things like "I never downloaded music!" and he was saying "We have evidence that you have."
After about 5 minutes of absolute terror, this person revealed himself as a poser. . .


I just wanted to warn you-if you get a nasty IM from the RIAA, it may not be from them. . .
