Does anyone know where I can find some good biographical info on Toshiro Mifune? I'm most interested in learning about the role Christianity played in his life (he was a Christian) and other stories about how he lived his life. I already know plenty about him as an actor, I want to get to know the man.

This is an intriguing, if somewhat difficult to read, bio.

I remember him most from Rashomon and Hell in the Pacific (this last with Lee Marvin):

"Al hail the forum editting Shooby! His vibes are law!" - Osaka-chan

I could still be champ, but I'd feel bad taking it away from one of the younger guys. - George Foreman

His parents were missionaries to other Japanese Christians living in Manchuria. He also had a difficult time convincing his wife's parents to allow them to marry because he was Christian instead of Shinto.

Thanks Shoo, but I've already seen those sites. Maybe that's the best I can do on the Web. I should probably go and read a real book.

Or you could look at it as his entry into Heaven.
