Knights Announcements...

Ok, people, check in! All knights need to post here to show that their being Active...anyway...I am some what angered about the laxity that we've been showing, but I suppose thats my fault....However, I will adress one issue:

If you are not a Knight, you may not Join in Knight activities, unless they are mean't to be member/non-member activities! Also, too many people have been joining and dissapearing. I understand that some days you don't feel like posting, and somtimes you have to go away for awhile, but you must stay active or we'll just have alot of names and nothing happening...Finally, I've decided to institute a Knights Oath. This isn't some cult "Swear fealty to the Knights" crap, I swear it. The Oath will read out like this:


I (whoever it is) Hereby swear that I join this body of believers to invigorate and encourage our fellow members of C.A.A., and realize that this is a commitment, involving my word. I also swear to quit this body should it ever be corrupted by fanatism and cultic behavior, wherein it would no longer be a blessing but a burden to the mods and our fellow members. I swear that I will obey the rules of C.A.A, and submit to the rulings and descisions of the Moderators and Administrators before anyone on this board. I swear finally to serve God in all things, obeying his word and keeping myself clean and wholesome for his kingdom."

This is not a board group to lounge in, but a body of believers who wish to aid others. I hope that this brings new life into the Knights. I will not edit the Oath any more than this, I think, becuase anything else would sound too cultic and closed. For those who merely want to have fun, you would do well to join either the Elf clan or the Wolf clan, both of which are wonderful groups dedicated to enjoyment. Those of you who choose to join are asked to serve God and dedicate at least a part of your net time at least once a week to being on C.A.A and checking for any new projects and announcements. This is actually just a suggestion, not a requirement, but a strong suggestion all the same. Please understand, I love that people are getting into this, but too few understand what I ask of you when you join the Knights. This Oath will bind a member to their word until or unless they leave the Knights. No creepy rules or rituals, save for the odd Knight dual, or somthing to that affect, as I see no reason to attempt to improve upon the rules which the Mods have already perfected. Once again, please understand, I'M NOT TRYING TO SET UP SOME KIND OF WEIRD CULT. I dislike having too much power, which is why I've kept trying to get a council together, people who will have the power to overturn me if needed. I also may quit the Knights one day, leaving you to grow on your own. I merely hope to leave a legacy on C.A.A....However, if you (the knights) go out of line, (breaking rules repeatedly) you will be exiled from the Knights.

I didn't see this notice before. I'm usually on at least once a day in the evenings. But when I go back to the college campus courses next semester I won't be on as much. I appreciate the opportunity I was givin to be a knight. Thank you.

Foremost, I would like to affirm Zarn's intentions. We already have a great many random guilds on CAA. The Knights should be a quality one that accomplishes something. I hope that it can become a positive force on CAA.

An interesting Oath:

I do not believe in swearing oaths, but I will not touch the issue here due to denominational issues.

However, I do believe that the responsibilities listed in the oath are healthy and intelligent. As such, I will take them on (though they may already be covered between my status as a Christian and a moderator).

Thank you all, my friends. UC, I am happy that you have taken upon you the Oath, or at least it's meaning and message, and I hope others will do the same. There is a new day for the Knights coming, a day for us to really be a blessing, and we need to be ready when needed. As such, many plans are in the works, including a council that actually DOES things, and a way of getting personal ranking by playing the arcade! (Personal Rank does not mean Commanding rank, therefore you can have a super high Personal rank and still not be allowed to boss anyone in the knights about) I would like those who have already become Knights to look through the old announcements and sayings to put together a bigger picture of what it means to be a Knight. Also, Thank you for everyone whos been helping me (Angel37, Spiritwolf, Coby)

This might be asking a bit much, but what is the Knights had a board or something. It would be a lot easier for people to be updated, considering some of us, including myself, don't frequently check the 'general' board.
Or even maybe we can get a group of people, perhaps from the council, that Zarn notifies when something important has been posted, then they in turn, notify the rest of the Knights.
eh... just suggestion....
