Hum, your trip from the whole sounds very productive. And the fact that you had an inpact on two other kids is much more then anyone might first realize (It's witten that when just one soul is saved, the hosts of heaven rejoice.....). You should feel honoured that they would present you with any gift of friendship (I which I'm sure you are) because it symbolizes that you got through to them and will continue to have an influence on them well to the point where they wont realize it. That is alot of power to harness, the influence of a future generation, to guide them in the molding process of their lives and stimulate their minds to grow. I'm sure you did much more then you will ever know, hence is the responsibility of the teacher or the mentor, they are partially accountable for the life their students choose.
