Just got a PSP

Postby Mega.EXE » Sun Apr 06, 2008 10:28 pm

So I just got a PSP today, and I'm wondering what games I should get. I'm already considering Star Wars Battlefront 2, Bleach Heat the Soul 4, and Dynasty Warriors. What other games would you reccomend?

Like tactical RPGs? If so, you're in luck. The PSP is chock full of fantastic ones. FFT: Lion War, Jean D'arc, and Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness are the ones that spring to mind.

Do you enjoy game like Dynasty Warriors? Warriors Orochi is a good choice.

I've heard of that game, but haven't seen much about it. What type of game play does it have? I can't check because the school server won't let me check out video game sites.

Katamari? Pretty simple gameplay. You roll around a ball to pick up stuff with it and make a bigger ball. It sounds silly, I know, but it's good addictive fun.

Ones with * next to them means Japanese import. ** means European import.

Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles
Tales of Eternia**
Tales of Phantasia*
Breath of Fire III**
Star Ocean: First Departure*
Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness
LocoRoco
Final Fantasy Tactics
Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
Patapon
Me and My Katamari

ANd I'm forgetting some. I'll edit them in later.

Oh, because I'm too lazy to say IMO after everything, everything beyond this is an opinion.

Anyways... just as a side note no one cares about, I hated Crisis Core. Perhaps it's because I also hated Final Fantasy VII, but Crisis Core's plot didn't interest me. The lack of leveling up is lame, and the combat felt like Final Fantasy XII's without the thinking.

The only things it has going for it are music and graphics, and if those are enough to make you want something, go watch Advent Children instead. Or don't, if you get motion sickness. But my Advent Children rant isn't related to the PSP, so I won't say anymore.

I know! Isn't it great? It kinda lacks a solid storyline, but it's still awesome. hehe

I hear Metal Gear Acid 1-2 are good if you like card games. I don't have a PSP yet, but its getting the point where I really want one.
