Is the child a monster? That one monster had a face, which is a big departure from previous games... I'm going to have to play through 1 and 2 before I try this one out... I hope it's longer than 3... Anyhow, they seemed to have brought back the "Cracked out femme" look... Hmm... That one monster seems to be like a zombie out of RE... I hope they don't destroy the SH style...

Since it's the demo the graphics are way crappier than the real release later on, we can safely assume that most of the polygon "PSOne-ness" will be spiced up later ^^

Yiii, a whole new plot! Though I'm sad that old characters won't be coming back, I'm intrigued to see what Konami will think up this time aside from all the Sammael mess. Probably something like SH2 though...

And mosters with visible facial features... yiiii.... I'm *definately* getting this...

Well, the guy was locked in his room for so many years, the monsters aren't SH style, and there seems to be a theme with the bed of nails...

Cracked out femme is back
(didn't SH1 revolve partly around a cocaine-like drug?)
so it can't be too far off, hehe...

That weird alien thing was not normal SH monster material... I mean, it had a face... How many times do I have to say that? 42... That's how many. 5x8. **folds arms with determination**

OOPS... sorry, no theme with the nails... And it wasn't a bed of nails anyhow... I was way off...

Ok... Theme of being stuck (all the bodies stuck to the walls and stuff) That fits together with the title and early premise (the room)

Silent Hill 4 will have returning characters, but the said "There will be familiar faces, but not how you expected" A lot of people said one of the promo items looked like James stuck to the wall (like those other people in the original pics)

Yeah, that promo pic really does look like James, hmm, I'm really excited to see what Konami will do. Although some of the monsters look suspiciously like zombies and that would seriously ruin SH--for good.

AGE WARNING! This is video of Silent Hill 4. It's rated M and it will definately earn that rating.

It's veeeery short, but there's a video of the new SH game...

The girl who's all bloody and wearing an eyepatch looks a LOT like heather to me... http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/608/608237/vids_1.html

If you're on macs, you can get WMP to play WMV files... That's all they'll play (thanks microsoft, when I'm forced to use macs, I find out that you really DO screw over the mac users...)

I should be asleep, but did you know that the games are built around the American game first, but released in Japan first? The american voice actors and actresses did all the motion capture for the games, so the Japanese voices were dubbed over the american movements... It makes sense, considering these games all take place in the US.

They said there will be familiar faces, but not how we expected... I noticed that the wall things, with the exception of that girl in the black dress, didn't have faces... Well, at least I can say they didn't ruin ALL of the monsters... That two headed fuzzy thing has children's faces... Perhaps the child in that one pic is the guy as a child, and the monster also represents him as a child in a different way?

Oh my WORD this game looks pretty... I just hope that it actually looks pretty on the PS2 and not just the X-box... Of course, even if it's only equally pretty to SH3, that'll be enough for me because I can't wait to dive into the SH world again... I'll have to get SH1 to hold me off until then.

A lot of the scenes assumed to be prerendered in SH3 were not prerendered... You find that out when you get the costumes... SH3 had very pretty IN-GAME rendered scenes, I'm sure that they're going to tweak it a tiny bit more, but not much... They've just about reached the limits of PS2!

2 minute trailer... I'M SO GOING TO GET THIS GAME!!! O_o There's really some freaky stuff going on! Almost Sadako-ish (Ringu) even.... And I think they are really going to out-do themselves on the battle system and details, it seems you can have more attack options like a harder swinging hit.

Man, those floating people sent chills... even with the crappy video quality...

Ooh... Nice... I must say however... Those things with the children's faces bug me... This looked nice, but it didn't look like Silent Hill... Those things with the faces were only part of it... The enemies in this look more human... They've got faces and that just somehow removes the silent hill feeling from it... I'm sure it will be all nice and disturbing, but it doesn't feel like silent hill anymore from what I'm seeing...

Hey, at least those annoying dogs are still there ^^;; To tell you the truth, I think the enemies ARE human. Could it be something like what Eddie went through in SH2? Konami might be going for a new perspective on things....

Since SH4, to me, looks to be more similar to SH2--with none or minimal ties with the main Sammael plot.

Here's a lullaby to close your eyes (goodbye)
It was always you that I despised
I don't feel enough for you to cry (oh my)
Here's a lullaby to close your eyes. (goodbye)
Here's a lullaby to close your eyes (goodbye)
It was always you that I despised
I don't feel enough for you to cry (oh my)
Here's a lullaby to close your eyes. (goodbye, goodbye, goodbye)

July is coming pretty quickly and much too slowly! Man... COME ON JULY! Wait, no... There are things I have to get done before then... But... I want to play this sooo bad! Oh, I can taste it... Well, maybe that wouldn't be a good idea... But, I can smell it anyhow... It's so close, yet so far! So pretty, yet so disgusting... So appealing, and so repulsive... They're playing with my mind, I tells you! Ah, what's that out there... A person moving rather stangely in the fog! What wife?! Have you seen my pet goat? Aaaah!

Um... Yeah, It's late... I decided to resurrect this, because of this: Sample music... I don't know... I like a couple of the tracks (particularly the "Room of Angel") but I'm not sure about the rest of the soundtrack... I'll have to hear it in game, I guess. Also, these aren't ALL of the songs... Anyhow, here we go!

I am also resurrecting it because I'm very anxious for this game to come out...

So it's coming out in July---great last I checked I thought it was going to be September but I'll take July any day of the week. I couldn't view the video, I'm having some difficulties playing WMV files and Quictime is for registered users. Anyways I've seen some photos, looks dark, depressing and pyshcological; which is perfect by SH standards.

Will this one be more of a mental head-trip as opposed to a religious fright tale ?

Ooh! Have you all seen the E3 preview and the newest preview? YOu can see them at http://www.gametrailers.com Very scary... Trailer 5 has more of that song.

Your lie standing there before me
Your tears, they mean nothing to me
The window howling out the window
The love you never gave, I give to you
You really don't deserve it,
But now, there's nothing you can do
So sleep in your only memory
How weak my dearest {Mother? Lover?}
Here's a lullaby to close your eyes (goodbye)

And now the news. Yesterday in Ashfield in the woods near Silent Hill, the bodies of five apparent murder victims and a sixth severly wounded female were discovered. The woman was immediately rushed to St. Jerome hospital, but died a short time later of her injuries. She has been identified as *static* This looks much darker than all the other games... After watching those previews, SH3 looked downright comical (of course, Valtiel stopped giving me shivers after about an hour... He's just another piece of landscape...) They did the same effect with one of the enemies as they use in the "13 Ghosts" remake, only more scary... And the wheelchairs are just delightfully frightning... It's like they are fast forwarding through time... I love the detatched feeling of the jumping thing and the wheelchairs... This looks really good... Too bad I know I'll never get it in my house... I'll have to spend a night or two at my friend's house...

O_O Awesome!! It's got that choppy movement effect that really creeped me out in House on Haunted Hill (the part where the doctor was seen in the monitor and he was just moving so... choppy and unnaturally). Man, I really can't wait!!
