Yes there's been tons of rumors of a Halo game for the DS, but it seems that these rumors might have been true.

While although true, it seems this game was canceled.

Real? Fake? I honestly can't decide.

Just like how it was canceled for PS2 at one point. Sheesh so much is going to xbox but xbox won't share any of it's titles :/

But they did a MechAssault DS game! Yet it was an abomination. Thank goodness they canceled the Halo DS game.

Yeah, that alone should tell you this is either a fake, or some project that is not officially sanctioned by the appropriate parties.

This game actually looked awesome. Too bad it will never see the lite of DS.

Also, I don't understand why people think this is fake. I don't know too many media outlets that have the time, let alone the employee resources, to reskin an entire DS game just for a prank....

I do not think certain media outlets are intentionally trying to prank anyone. I just do not have faith in most enthusiast gaming media outlets' competency to discern what is highly questionable.

While i do agree with you, I don't think that this particular story falls under that category, as the source, Matt Cassawhatever has played it himself.

Sony'd be doing the same thing if they could talk anyone in to it. The only difference here is that Bungie is pretty much owned by Microsoft. Remember, Halo was originally slated to be a Mac title.

Well ever since Bungie split from MS, it wouldn't surprise me if this game actually came out. I mean, Xenosaga came out on the DS after being a good title for the PS2. Plus, it's hard to say who actually owns the rights to Halo..is it Bungie or MS? This split will most likely bring about a lot of surprising events, indeed.

It would have been great if Halo ds was actually released on the DS but oh well.
