Okay, I did this with the Nintendo DS a while back. I'm going to get one of those pretty new PSP's because I want to play Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions REALLY badly. What are some other good PSP games? Hit me with 'em.
P.S.: No whining about why the PSP sucks. If you have nothing constructive to say, please vomit your opinion elsewhere, like the toilet, your breakfast cereal, on your sister's Mary Kate and Ashley poster, etc. etc.

The GTA games are really well done, even for handhelds. That is, of course, if you're willing to play with the kind of content you'd expect to find in those games.
Legend of Heroes is a good game... It's TOTALLY linear (there is nothing outside the story) but it's still an enjoyable play (I <3 Rutice)... can't say anything about the sequel, though, because I bought it the same day my PSP got stolen. But it plays out alot like an SNES RPG... like a combination of Zelda (you see the enemies on your screen) and FF6 (battle still takes place over a generic backdrop like in most SNES RPG's).
The other game that I enjoyed playing was Kingdom of Paradise. It's once again not the most amazing game out there, but I really enjoyed it... it's basically a 3d hack 'n slash RPG with a custom combo system.

Hmm... well, my current PSP collection is:
Tekken: Dark Resurrection
Metal Gear Acid 1 and 2 (The first one might be hard to find)
Metal Gear Portable Ops
Lumines II
Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower
Final Fantasy I and II (Yeah, I know.... I bought them anyway.)
Jeanne D'Arc (Strategy JRPG made by Level-5)
PSP Games that have received very good reviews:
Killzone: Liberation
Lumines
Wipeout Pure
Daxter
Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror
Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters
Mega Man Powered Up
Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins
Future PSP Games to keep an eye on:
God of War: Chains of Olympus
Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core
Final Fantasy Dissidia
Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles (remakes of Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night)
Wipeout Pulse
Secret Agent Clank
Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow
Echochrome
During this TGS, it was announced in the future you could access the PlayStation Network Store and purchase and download PS1 titles to your PSP.
Also during TGS, it was demonstrated officially the PSP's ability to remotely play PS3 games on a PS3. There have been no games that have announced plans to use this ability, but it is apparently there.

Jamie, if you love FF Tactics, you'll love Jeanne D'Arc. It's a SRPG based on the life of Joan of Arc, only with orcs and trolls and stuff.
I also highly recommend Maverick Hunter X (remake of MMX).

Definitely get Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness. Another great game similar to Final Fantasy Tactics, except it's way crazier. Also, I believe there is a new Burnout game coming out fairly soon.

I don't have a PSP but I play them. I second Jeanne d'Arc, but I also recommend the Y's games. They're a little boring but they're way fun.

My list of PSP games I own is quite small:
Me and My Katamari (It's Katamari. 'Nuf said.)
MGS: Portable Ops (Hey, a PSP Metal Gear Solid game that plays like a Metal Gear Solid game! Sorry, don't mean to hate on Acid, but PO is pretty cool.)
Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (Think FF Tactics with Bejeweled as a battle system. Trust me, it works.)
I'm looking forward to God of War: Chains of Olympus and Silent Hill: Origins. I basically bought a PSP for Origins and a few other games. It's been a worthwhile purchase so far, though.
