Shown here. Wow, the date says May 9th, I'm behind the times I guess :/ I'm surprised they changed the logo for it too. Still, a 3rd remake is almost too much... Sure, they make allll these remakes for IV but do we get to see VII on PS3 yet? NO!!

I hate the style in FF3DS... I'm pretty sure it will be just as bad with FF4ds, but the difference is FF4 is actually a good game, so I'd pick it up if I had a DS... I'll get a DS, just not until after my PS3...

A good interview about FF IV DS can be found here.

Looks like they are adding to the story.

I'm playing this game now, coincidentally (SNES version). I am enjoying it, so I may have to watch the scenes online when they become available. Though I'd be interested in hearing about the restored events the interview mentioned, I didn't like the game enough to play it again.

Technically the others were ports, not remakes like this, but I do agree with you. Square-Enix has been on a port/remake/spinoff spree lately that I don't particularly care for, and would prefer more original games or even just direct sequals.

oman, I thought that the FFIV remake came out on May 9th. xD; "Wow, how did I not notice this at all? D:"

But it should be interesting. o: I dunno, I liked it when it was on the GBA even though that one Dark Elf cave is being a meanfase to me. ;o;

Well, I think I'm way more behind the times than you are. xD;;

*crawls back into hole*

It can be nice. Sucks for me cause I'm an obsessive-compulsive collector >_< I also noticed that the release date for the FF on PSP is already in flyers for stores.

I don't care about FF1 or FF3... FF2 will be headed to my PSP, and I may end up getting FFIV when I get the DS (whenever that ends up being, my PS3 is a bigger priority, since I already have a portable)

I just don't like the chibi 3d look! It'd be nice to see what sort of cutscenes they give it... I'm interested in seeing what they add to it... I just don't think Final Fantasy should ever get art direction from ANIMAL CROSSING... I wish they'd just make a final fantasy 4 game with visuals based directly on Amano's artwork... FF6 intro and end scenes on PS1 looked great. I'd love to see something along those lines (and not so much the PS1 version of FF4 which was sort of practice for Square as they were learning the modeling still... Before FF8) I would be very happy if they did that...

A new trailer was just leaked today.

LINK

It may take a minute to load. Graphics look like they capture the feeling of the original game just fine. I'm really glad that I held off on those GBA re-releases.

Heh heh^^ Unlike some like me. And then they made those other 2 for PSP which look nice as well... Ah knowing me I'll probably end up picking up one from each :/ Have GBA, DS/PSP and PS :/ Or something^^ As long as I eventually play them all... Yeah it sucks being a collector :/

Nice to see the characters in cutscenes. But I was mostly distracted by the hymn in the background.

My main concern is that it'll feel too much like FF3 DS instead of FF4.

Course, I'll still buy it.
