CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

I might have to pick this one up when it comes around. More characters, more series, better experiences in gameplay (including little things like grabbing edges and destroying floors), and (best of all) Wi-Fi online capabilities could make this one of the best fighting games for the DS.

That, and I just want to try out Gear 2nd Luffy and Franky... xD

Oh yeah, a friend of mine showed me an import version that he was playing last year. Looked pretty cool. If only I could bring myself to drop $130 for a DS...

I would assume that was the first one, just plain "Jump Superstars". Yeah, my friend has the original for DS and is excited about this one.

Yeah, I have Jump Superstars, and I love it. I will prolly get this one too if you can play online here in the states.

I basically copied this from wikipedia and made a few alterations. I bolded the new battle characters revealed so far...
It looks interesting. I was considering importing the first one, but when this was announced I decided to wait.

That works. Too bad Usopp is just support again (or appears to be), but with the look of the scans, we may at least see the long-nosed hero supporting a certain mask and giant slingshot. Franky being playable makes it up in that aspect, though.

It always seemed a bit odd to make Anna (SK) playable, though. Seems like there would be plenty of other options they could choose from (Hao, anyone?).

Some of the characters also seem to be featured in their later arcs. As I mentioned, the Strawhats are now supporting their Enies Lobby suits and the Naruto cast all seem to be post-three year skip (though that might mean we'll be seeing Sasuke in... that suit... >_>; ).

Im glad i didnt buy jump superstars yet. This sounds awesome.

Not really.
Eve is one of the most popular characters in Black Cat. And since Black Cat is nowhere near as popular as a large number of the other Jump series, when they decided to add in a Black Cat battle character, they chose Eve. That's what I figure happened anyway.

Popularity plays a huge factor in this. This is likely why Renji and Toshiro are playable this time around...

Me be wondering mateys. Woulds a denizen of the new world of the colonies, ds be able to play this here game? ARRR me know the psp ist region free but me memory cannot recall if the ds ist one. Me be wanting to pick this up when me get a ds in a couple months if so arrrrrrrr.

Josuke and Gio from Jojo are in as supports.

i doubt that. zompie powder's a pretty old manga and it's not coming out in weekly sj anymore. that would be pretty tight though. they're probably gonna have more characters from hunter x hunter and bleach.

Stuff like DBZ, Dr. Slump, and Kochikame are all old series, and they made it in. Shaman King was canceled and it made it in as well. =p

This is all true(although Shaman King I would consider more of an exception as it suddenly ends after 32 volumes right before what should have been the final battle or so.)
However, Zombie Powder only lasted 4 volumes before it was canned by the Jump editors. There's lots of titles that suffer this fate.
Generally speaking, the titles they will go after to stick in JUS will be the 10+/20+/30+ volume popular series.

I didn't say ZP would be in, but just that being old wouldn't necessarily mean it wouldn't be in. =p

Yes, and the odds are likely it will never come here (save imports) as many different people own the rights to these series in America.
