I own 2 sets of starter decks (the old A/B sets) as well as some boosters (mostly just in sleeves in a notebook).
I've played a hand or two by myself (playing both hands) to get a feel for the game, it was my hope to get other people involved in it, but none of my friends could be talked into spending the little bit of time to learn.... guess that's what I get for being an "old fart" (can I say that?)....
I think I have a copy of the program someone wrote to play on-line with other people (similar to the thing they did with Magic the Gathering), but I've never installed it.
It's a pretty cool game, and from what I've heard (read) it's a fairly solid game when it comes to CCGs.

I've seen people selling cards and playing at various Christian conferences, but I've heard that the game is poorly done and derivative. I haven't played, but the source for my info on it was a gaming magazine (Inquest), so I trust their opinion.

i used to have some starter decks for the game, and i still have a little bit of cards. I don't know anyone who does or would play though. It seemed like a good game. One thing I don't know about though, is in Magic: The Gathering, they had this stuff called mana, and you needed a certain amount to bring guys out. It was annoying when you didnt have enough, but it added a kinda fun little extra challenge to the game. I don't play Magic anymore though, cause it has everything from wicca/druid stuff to satanism. Some people think it's no big deal, but I do, so that's why i quit. Redemption is still the best Christian card game out there though, and its a pretty good game.

that program was called Apprentice, right? I used to use that to play online. I bet if we find people here who play redemption, and install that program, we could all at least have a few people to play with.

You can find it here:
Redemption Online Game
When you get there, go to the downloads page, and the first thing you will find is the program for the online version of the game.
It would be pretty cool to get other CAA people to play. I am willing to learn the game if we can find people to play it.

Timestream sci-fi travel back in time to record Biblical events
The Way realistic spiritual living
Unity noncollectible uses Old Testament imagry
Can't tell you anymore than what I have read about them though, christiangaming.com has all three reviewed and links to them.
PS i've got the card table program and redemption as well as some other old CCGS on it as well

Thanks for the info Righteous_Slave.
Where can you get other games to use with the card table program? What games are available?

I've got Redemption, the old Battletech CCG, the old Star Wars (Decipher), Middle Earth (Iron Crown), OverPower. There are several others on this site, most of them are linked to Yahoo groups that you have to join to get the files
Note: I haven't had the opportunity to learn to play most of these

Thanks.
Oh man...I used to play overpower in 5th grade. That was a long time ago.
I learned the rules for the Redemption CCG today. It is decent, but kind of confusing at times and definitely a rip off of Magic: The Gathering in several respects.

Aren't most CCGs a rip off Magic: The Gathering?
The game is a big confusing at first... that's why I played out a few hands while trying to learn it on my own.
What was worse was when I was first looking at it (referenced through an ad from somewhere), I thought you where supposed to pick sides... didn't seem right that you'd have a Christian game where you'd pick to be the "good guys" or the "bad guys".... that cleared up once I got the first starter set.

In my opinion this one is an especially blatant case, with the power/toughness and combat rules being the most obvious things.
I found Magic for Cardtable, so as soon as I get it to work I will play that.
However, I now know how to play Redemption, so if any of you want to d/l the program and play, I'm available.

I've played it a couple times with a friend, if I see any cards I might by them, I'm going to the dollar store in a moment, so I might get some so I have something to do while I have to sit in a van for 2 hours driving to my aunts, but what the hey.
I've played Magic: The Gathering quite a few times, and I had a starter deck kit, but then I lost it. I can't find it, but I hope I can find some cards at the dollar store. I love card games, escpecially the Middle Earth ones.

No doubt, no one reads this thread anymore but i'll post anyway.
Redemption isthe best Christian card game developed. I love the gamplay it goes through and I especially love the cards. I have three editions of the two-deck starter sets and a load of booster decks. I also have two brothers, but they don't play.
